First let me say before I bought this pool I looked at every pool on Amazon. I did tons of research. I actually bought a pool and canceled the order before it shipped. When reading all of the reviews I was afraid the pump that comes with the pool would not work. My husband and I said screw it, let’s give it a try. The shipping was fast. When it got delivered we planned on working all day to set up the pool. It took us 1 hour. When received the pool it was missing the ground cloth and the filters it’s supposed to come with. No big deal. My husband ran to Lowe’s and got a tarp. In the meantime I contacted the seller and they sent me what they owed me. We put the pool together and immediately started filling it. When the pool got just a few inches of water in it, I got in on my hands and knees and spread out the wrinkles in the liner. It took me maybe a few minutes. We have spent every day in this pool. So when you set it up let it fill and then turn your pump on. We bought 3 inch chlorine tablets and a chlorine tablet holder. I also bought a vacuum that cost $30 and a skimmer that goes on the side. This pool is the best bang for your buck. We absolutely love it. We will buy again next year but bigger. We just wanted to make sure we could maintain this one first. Received item on time. Leveling the ground took 2 hours and two separate trips to Home Depot because I needed more styrofoam boards than anticipated. Took me another hour to put the whole pool together + the water pump assembly. I assembled the pool together on my own under 104 degrees (hot California weather) so I did take a few breaks in between. Filling up the pool took another hour and it reached half way. Will finish the next day. -1 star because the pool set did not come with any written instructions, putting the black bottom piece onto the legs were not intuitive and took a while to figure out, and lastly the bottom plug where water drains out from the pool leaks. A little heads up, if you have never owned a pool before - just keep in mind it’s going to cost you more than $98-$120 to maintain a10 feet x 30 inch pool. I had to buy foam boards which cost me $60-80, a water pump which was $50, chlorine tablets which is $6+, a cleaning pool set on Amazon around $25, a pool cover is $35+, and a chlorine float. Needless to say this is a long term project and can take 2 or more days if your determined to place it on level ground and on something soft and sturdy. ... show more

Unless you want to go turn your pump on every 10 hours and ask a neighbor to turn it on for you any time you're away from the house for more than 10 hours, then DO NOT BUY THIS PUMP. I knew nothing about pools, so I thought this was a great deal. I bought it all and now, 12 hours later my pool is green bc the max timer setting on the filter pump is 10 hours. Absolutely ridiculous. The pool is great so far and pretty easy to setup, just find a pump and filter that has no timer or has a 24/7 option on it! Update - I was able to clear up our water. We are on our own well with heavy iron so that was likely the biggest issue. If you want a pump that runs constantly, just know that it won't. It does run 10 hours turns off and turns itself back on for 10 more hours. Not sure if it's on and off every 10 hours or on a 24 hr cycle where it runs for 10 hours the same time each day, I think the latter based off my understanding of the instructions. After multiple filters and shocking the pool a couple of times we were able to resolve and we absolutely love this pool. Edit 6/14/23: Changing from 1 star for 4. After being transferred to a few different CS reps, Amazon did end up give me a partial credit for the pool, essentially making the replacement liner free, which is all I was looking for, so I can get one for next year without any leaks. Thanks Amazon for ultimately comin through. Initial Review: This is the second intex pool I've purchased through Amazon. The first one I bought in 2021 and it was great. Due to moving to a bigger space, I decided to upgrade this year. The pool was easy to assemble, is the right size. All in all, excited. However, after a day of it being filled, I noticed that there must be a pinhole on the bottom of the liner somewhere (we made sure the ground was clear of debris, leveled it out, and laid down tarps). I reached out to intex, in the hopes that I could provide all my order info and they'd send me out a new liner. They gave me the run around and wanted me to send the whole pool back. Draining and dismantling a 1700 gallon pool that you just set up isn't ideal, let alone paying a 2nd time to refill it, so I obviously didn't want to do that. Intex won't help, Amazon won't help. So basically, unless the defect makes your pool unusable anyways, you're SOL if something minor is wrong. ... show more

    • Sturdy pool, weak pump, make sure ground is level

The pool itself is great. Just make sure your ground is level. I had to set this up twice because there was a slight slope to my yard, and it ended up one side was almost 3" lower than the other. This cause a lot of weight one one side of the pool that I wasn't comfortable with, and had to re-level the ground. Honestly the pool is strong enough it may have been fine, and that was my fault. On the other hand this pool does have a weakness, and that is the pump. It has barely any water flow, and it took a lot off effort just to get the air out of the tube as it flowing fast enough to move the air out. Even after that I still had to let air of the pump every day for about 3 days before it finally ran smoothly. (I wonder if peoples pumps failing after 4 days is due to them to not re-checking the prime and basically running air in the pump without knowing). Overall It is worth the price, and I will probably by a bigger version of this in the future once my kids are bigger (although I may by a stronger pump as I don't really trust the included pumps). ... show more
