I use this for backwashing 3M and carbon media mix in a 8x44 tank every other day. It really does a good job lifting the media in the tank. I purchased a second one because the price and quality were so good.ill be using the second on my citation resin once I save enough for a tannex resin setup. It may be too strong for tannex resin so I’ll use my weaker valve on that.

I returned this as it was not easily setup. The directions in the user manual references functions not available on the product so one is left to guess at what position might initiate the intended operation.

This is an ideal valve that is simple and limited moving parts. I used it to replace a 5600 that was broken and it works perfectly. I will buy another as I work on my friends softeners and the price is extremely good. Does not come with the rain cover so if this is going outdoors you should purchase a cover. The fleck 5600 cover fits perfectly.
