No issues. Good option for the traditional inefficient electric space heater that I continue to use because I'm too lazy and broke to replace a central air unit in one part of the house. I expect no significant advantages or disadvantages over others of similar size and design. I recommend buying when the price seems on par with similar models.

I really like this little tower heater. It has kept us from needing to turn on the central heat for early unseasonably cold nights. I originally purchased it to place in our club's emergency communications trailer, but it works so well I'm keeping it for the house. In fact, it probably would work too well for the smaller space in the trailer. All the controls on the top of the heater are also available on the infrared remote control. The icons don't all match, but the functions are there. The photo shows both the tower function keys and the remote. The remote also has an additional button to mute the key beep. In my experience, the temperature control doesn't match the room temperature - the room will get much warmer than the indicated temperature before the heater turns off. To select the temperature mode, press the wavy lines button on the remote or the M button on the tower until a number is displayed, then press the - button until the desired temperature is shown. When first powered up, the unit starts in HI heat mode. The next mode is LO, followed by the temperature setting. Note that the + and - keys do not operate except in the temperature setting mode. After setting the temperature or choosing the HI or LO mode, the display will turn off. The next time a button is pressed on the remote, it turns back on. Note that it doesn't matter which button is pressed - the only function the first button pressed performs is to activate the control panel. Once the display is on, press the desired function. Not shown in the attached photo is a slide control on the side of the heater to adjust the vanes directing the airflow up and down. (It is listed in the description.) Most heaters of this style only blow air directly forward. This can direct air toward the floor or ceiling, feet or face. If you are heating a larger space, setting the vanes slightly downward will let the heat spread farther before rising, making for a more even heat across the room. Similarly, the 70-degree oscillation will cover a much wider area than the typical stationary ceramic heater units.

This works okay and looks nice. I honestly think my older ceramic heater, and the new Trustech one I got on Amazon, throw out more heat faster, but they don't look as good doing it. I don't find the oscillating feature to be much use since the fan is weak and doesn't throw heat very far. The controls could be more intuitive too. It took a few times using it to figure out that I had to quickly tap the switch twice to turn it off. (The directions only say once.) I've been using this in the bathroom set on high for a few weeks to add some extra heat when I take a shower. It had a strong plastic smell when it arrived that still has not fully dissipated. Overall, if you just want a heater and don't care what it looks like, and don't need a remote, go for the Trustech or a similar heater that is less than half the price of this one. If you want something that looks nicer and don't mind spending the extra cash, this one is fine. Make sure that wherever you wish to store it has enough vertical height since it's 15-3/4" tall. The cord is around 74" long. You can wrap the cord around the base for storage, but there is no way to fasten the plug to anything, so the cord doesn't stay put. I give this heater 3.5 stars, rounded to 4.
