My hubby is a detail oriented cook, concept cooking, big green egg type guy. Loves to cook. He spends hours, cooking. The pressure cooker amazed him. Cut cooking time by 75%, without loss of flavor, for stews,, pot roasts, etc. You can saute the veggies and just add the rest. The slower cooker is crock pot quality. It works well. I tried this once, but in the end returned it. I already have a 6 qt Instant Pot that I love, but was disappointed to learn that there are no accessories for the Rio model. No glass lids, no inserts, etc. Ultimately, I didn't want to start another group of accessories for a different pot.

    • EPIC Pressure Cooker! Must have after trying a few!

I previously had an old Fagor pressure cooker that was epic and worked well for almost 10 years. I then decided to upgrade and get a Ninja Pressure cooker, and that was a mistake. Used it around 5-6 times and every time, it was too bulky, tall, and would ask for more water, no matter how much water was in it (making bean soup). Ninja products are usually very good, but that one went directly in the garbage after it let me down when entertaining. Now enter the Instapot RIO wide base!!!! This thing is perfect for under the counter and sits low, but holds more than any previous one I've had. I tested it on a very thick 15 bean soup and several other recipes and it works like a champ! I am serious about food and compete in BBQ smoking competitions, and take all of my kitchen and grill/smoker equipment seriously. I don't want to worry about the operation, but want to taste good food, and this thing delivers with power, precision, and quiet as you can get! Did I mention it is HUGE inside and takes up way less than the Ninja garbage did.
