Just got this toaster, and it works as good as it looks. My old toaster is a Kitchenaid and it works ok, very dependable, but I saw this toaster with the digital controls and the automatic raise and lower I figured it was time for a change. I liked that Revolution toaster, but it was way too expensive, and I found out that it didn't seem to last long. Then this toaster came along with the same type of control but laid out a little differently. I liked the idea that the controls were implemented on the broad side of the toaster. This means that it sits width-ways on the counter. It's much shallower and takes less counter space. Also, when the bread pops up you have a good view of the doneness. The controls show a picture of different phases of doneness, and I have to say so far that this thing is right-on, what you see is what you get. It toasts the bread perfectly, not half, not just the center the whole slice of bread it toasted perfectly. My Kitchenaid didn't even do that and that was a pretty expensive toaster at the time. This toaster is a little on the expensive side but at least it delivers. So far, it's great but the burning question is "How Long Will It Last?" Well, we'll have to see and if this thing turns into a turd, I will let you know. ... show more

I tested a few of the toasting levels which was fun. I haven’t tried the different bread options but it works wonderfully. It’s very easy to use and toasts close to the pictures. I got this on discount and was happy with the price. It fitted perfectly on my new island table. This toaster is really nice. It automatically lowers and ejects the bread into and out of itself and toasts quite evenly. The touch screen is nice and completely darkens when not in use so it makes the toaster look like it has no buttons. Touch one of the buttons and the whole display lights up. One of the coolest features is the countdown timer that tells you exactly when your bread is going to be ready. You can also add time while it’s in use. The touch buttons are easy to see and understand and look great. You can also add time with a quick touch of the Add Time button. It took a few burnt or under-toasted pieces of different types of breads to figure out the selections I wanted, but it was easy to figure out. Does what it says it will and what to expect in instructions. Bagel setting not good for me because I have NY bagels flown in to me. They are extra large and fat and just fit. Using the white bread setting works fir me. There's a design problem overlook too. Toasted product has jammed up when coming up on the inside lip if it decides to lean into it. Doesn't happen all the time and I'll live with it. Overall I like it!! Attractive, bright screen and works well so far. * UPDATE* doesn't hang up anymore. I lightly bend in evenly the chrome dress ring further into toaster as shown in pic with my finger. It was easy to do without damage or hindering operation. Change 4 star to 5 star ... show more
