  • Perfect camera for safe/vault drilling and inspection!
Size: 5FT
I was EXTREMELY impressed with the quality of this camera. I use this when doing safe/vault work, and it holds its own against the camera that is sold on locksmithing sites for upwards of $500, but I paid less that $100 for this one! I attached a few actual pictures from inside a vault lock body assembly to show the quality of the pictures! ... show more

  • Handy tool that works well
Size: 16.5FT
After using this tool on multiple occasions I would highly recommend it to anyone needing to look into or retrieve items from narrow spaces. The diameter of this camera is very small and that helps in reach into areas that others would not be able to. The description says the camera is 5.5mm in diameter. I actually measured the diameter to be closer to 5.75mm with a micrometer but if the bezel that is threaded onto the end is removed then the width is only about 5mm. I got this camera to help me get a look inside the wall of my bathroom where there was water damage. Then when I didn't find anything leaking in the wall I used in to look inside the drain pipe of the shower and was able to see signs of water seeping in through the weep holes from the mortar bed under the tile floor which suggested the problem was water in the floor and that turned out to be the case. Later the water stopped coming out of the shower head. I eventually figured out the problem was with the shower hose and used the camera to verify that the lining of the hose was breaking down and causing the hose to get clogged. Most recently I was replacing my car battery and accidentally dropped a nut into a hidden area under the battery holder. The wire to the camera is flexible and will also to some extent hold its shape after bending it so I used that to make it a bit more curved at the end and was able to insert it under the battery holder through a narrow gap, see the nut there, and then with the magnet attachment I was able to retrieve it. The magnet is very small but was strong enough to hold on to the nut very securely while I pulled it out. Since there is both a forward-looking and side-looking camera I haven't used the right angle mirror yet but the hook attachment would be handy for retrieving things that the magnet cannot. I like that this camera comes with its own display rather than relying on phone software that may become obsolete over time. For the price and size I've been very impressed by the image quality and and the light illuminates the subject well. ... show more

  • This thing is the real deal.
Size: 16.5FT
I'm a diesel technician and over the years I've used quite a few different scopes. Yesterday I had a Isuzu engine that wasn't holding full load. Coincidentally our shop scope which is an autel is not small enough to fit down the injector holes to get a good look at the cylinder walls for damage. So I decided to buy whatever scope I could that could fit in through a 6mm hole that I could get overnighted to me. I gotta say this thing impressed the hell out of me. The picture quality is far better than any of the scopes I've used (autel, snap on, milwaukee, etc) for a fraction of the cost. The one thing that impressed me the most was that on the camera tip itself you can unscrew the cover to put accessories on it to actually reduce your size even more! I was easily able to inspect the Isuzu without even needing to remove the injectors and just going down the glow plug holes. Time will tell about durability and how long the camera lasts, because I know the picture quality tends to degrade over time with these, but from what I've read the camera is easily replaceable so another win for this thing. If you're on the fence, hope this review helps you make your decision. ... show more

  • Can't download photos
Size: 5FT
I am an industrial maintenence technician and recently had need for boroscope. This teslong was the perfect solution. It has excellent photo and video quality for the price and it's easy to understand and operate. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is; no matter what I do, I can not get any photos or videos off the device. I've tried USB-C to USB-C to android, to apple, to a PC, I've tried USB to USB-C to a PC, I've tried an SD card reader, I've tried a new SD card, every time I either connect the boroscope to an external device, or remove the SD card, the photos are corrupted / deleted (they disappear from the SD card). This could be me not understanding technology, or it could be a faulty boroscope (?), but if getting the photos off the device isn't an issue for you, (and it's not an issue for me), this is a great boroscope to have. ... show more

  • More uses than you think
This is a quality endoscope, I originally purchased to run in duct work to see if there were any leaks or openings. Didn't work that great for that as the further you insert the cable, the more control you lose. You can kind of turn the cable but it doesn't work that well when more than 3 feet of cable is extended. I did also use to check under my deck to see if there were any entry places in the house foundation to see any way for mice to gain entry. Also inside to see any evidence of rodents. Also used inside of ductwork to clean with a shop vac. You can insert the scope and also the shop vac end to make sure you get all the dirt you can see instead of just blindly vacuuming . I am planning on using to see in hard to reach places on my pickup frame so I can more precisely coat with oil to stop rust. It really is handy, there are more uses than you think. One recommendation for the buyer I ordered the 16.5 foot model, as mentioned, I don't see any way I would accurately use all 16.5 feet of the cable It just is not controllable when you push that much cable into whatever, So now I have a looped up cable that is always there, I may use some day but I am not sure for what, consider a shorter cable. The picture quality is very good, the light and the smallness of the camera end is very good, I would not go bigger, it will limit what you can use it for. The side light is good, but then again, you can't really turn the cable and side light where you want after 3 feet or so. I really do like the product, and highly recommend, The extra cable length ad lack of control are only minor inconveniences. ... show more

  • Great picture quality awesome tool to have on hand!
Size: 16.5FT
My husband is basically a jack of all trades. If the faucet is leaky he is the plumber, if car is making a ping he is the mechanic, and so on. Having a tool like this on hand makes his job so much easier. We are actually pretty impressed with the picture quality and how well you can make out and see with the camera probe. It has a ring of leds around the end of it which is super useful since most places you would need this is usually in a deep dark hole. We were a bit hesitant to order as I wasn't sure it was something we would make use of to justify the cost however I am so glad we did. My husband has used it a few times trying to diagnose issues with our vehicles and in our home. The drain was draining a bit slow so he used this camera down the shower grate to the drain (which is pretty gross) but he did find build up and was able to use a snake to clear it out. Another nice feature is it comes in a nice quality hard plastic case. He can easily carry it around and not have to worry about damaging it. We are very satisfied with this camera. It is easy to use and has a nice clear picture. There is plenty of cord for you to send the camera quite a ways out depending on where your problem is. I like that u can take pics with it to look at after. This is one of the mpst helpful tools in the garage! ... show more

  • Quality product that works as described, but with caveats
Let me start by saying that I'm impressed with the quality of this borescope and it has proven to be very useful. In particular, the small diameter (5mm) has allowed me to use it in really tight spaces with limited access. I wish I'd bought one long ago. It's easy to use, works as decribed, is very well packaged and I'm happy with it. That said, there are a couple of things I've learned from using it. These aren't complaints, just observations: - The 16' snake is much longer than I've needed so far and the stiff coil can be unwieldy to work with. I could easily get by with a 4-6' snake most of the time and will check with Teslong to see if a shorter snake is available. Changing it requires unscrewing it from the monitor, but it would be a rare occurrence so it shouldn't be an issue. - If you need to need to rotate the snake for a different view or to get past an obstacle, it can be difficult because it's rigidly attached to the monitor (plus you may have the coiled extra snake length to deal with). The side camera helps sometimes, but it's only a partial solution. With this experience under my belt, I would love to have a shorter borescope with a flexible head controlled by a joystick, but that's not what I paid for and I can't justify the higher price for my limited use. Again, I have no complaints with this product and I'm glad I have it. ... show more
