One day in. Extremely easy installation. Reason for 4 stars vs. 5 is the device didn't recognize the car's VIN and then the camera scan function to get the VIN didn't work either. That said, no big deal to enter manually. Everything else seems to be fine. The first scan detected a known "check engine" fault accurately. Looking forward to learning more about this tool.

omg omg to all DIYers this is a must have tool. The accuracy and details it gives about the car are impressive. easy to connect and easier to run a test on your car this help me find errors i couldnt possibly find on my own i was able to fix a corolla, infiniti fx35 even a mercedez ml500 i tried other code readers but some charge subcribtion that im not too fond of to me is like buying a drill and having to pay a montly subcription just to use it like what? anyways if i could give it mopre start i would.

Connected to car. Started up app. Bluetooth detected dongle. Everything seems good. Clicked on one of the buttons to scan. The app then wanted to do updates. Ok fine, do the updates. Update failed. Then I was not able to ever connect to dongle again. Uninstalled app, re-installed. Hard reboot iPhone. Turn Bluetooth off/on. Tried on a different car. Nothing. Tech Support was no help. Returning to Amazon for refund.

I love it, works like my big scanner with a few less features. Since it is Bluetooth, they scans are a bit slower than hardwire but no complaints

Bought this scanner because my ABS dash light was on and my old scanner doesn’t read ABS modules. Their website and the tech support people I talked to said it will read Mercedes ABS codes but all I ever got back was zero faults detected. I had to pay the import mechanic to read and clear several ABS fault codes and discover that my ABS pump had gone bad. Wasted a lot of time trying to figure out why the ABS dash light stayed on when this product was (incorrectly) telling me there were no fault codes. This product may work well on most common vehicles but didn’t on my older import.

I work on cars and when I have a Check engine light turn on, I know I can rely on the Innova1000 to help me diagnose it. It’s actually so intuitive that someone without any background in car mechanics can use it. Just plug it to the port and it’ll connect automatically. Very simple. The best part is that it’ll tell you things to look out for when you have a big maintenance job coming up. If you’re a DIYer like myself, it’s a good checklist to make sure you’re doing your due diligence. Highly recommend for this price and ease of use.
