Bought this because it is made by a company that make units used by the pros. As the title says, there is an issue with their app. The device appears to work well. However, the required app is too clever by half. It uses your VIN to determine your car info. They do not have 2024 info in their system as yet. SO, according to their support people, it will not work yet - until sometime later this year. There is no way to force the app to usa a year older model, unless you happen to know the VIN of a year older model. I personally know that the codes for the 2023 models (which are supported) are identical to the codes for the 2024 models. Oh well, back it goes.

There are many OBD2 scanners on the market. Some huge and very expensive highly-rated ones intended for mechanics, others from no-name offshore sellers that are simply terrible. I have been using the BlueDriver for a few years. Bluetooth has been rock solid, and it reads codes quite quickly. It has helped me immensely, even if I scratched my head at the results at times. The major improvement in version 2 of this Innova 1000 is Bluetooth performance, according to the company. The original V1 version's BT was glitchy at times, apparently. It worked fine in this unit during my testing. I ran both the Innova and BlueDriver back to back. There was essentially no difference in speed, detection, and performance. Prices are similar around $120 unless during a sale. The big difference: while BlueDriver only suggests possible fixes, this Innova unit provides verified solutions via the RepairSolutions2 app on iOS and Android, including for emissions testing. A win for Innova. Both products are North America centric, have good app interfaces, free lifetime firmware and app updates, and US support. Verdict: a tie. So, the major reason to get this is the enhanced repair guidance. The BlueDriver only proposes potential fixes that you or your mechanic need to research. Note: neither covers ABS, SRS, Transmission, or any other OEM systems. Just live OBD2 data. Both are good choices, but I recommend the Innova. It is now my "go-to." My rating system: 5 Stars = Knocks it out of the park. A great value! 4 Stars = Excellent product. A solid buy. 3 Stars = It provides some value, but perhaps not as advertised. 2 Stars = A little dubious, so do your research. Read the critical reviews! 1 Star = Avoid this product and look elsewhere.

I was looking to upgrade my older OBD-2 scanner to keep up with my newer car's (2024) diagnostic needs. As a DIY mechanic, I wanted a reliable tool that wouldn't break the bank. The Innova 1000 v2 Bluetooth OBD2 Scanner fit the bill perfectly. It worked on my older Chevy 2017 and 2024 Lexus. Save a hundred dollars and just get this, it works. Innova is a well-respected brand in the automotive industry, and this scanner is a testament to their quality. It's easy to set up and use, and it provides clear and informative readings. I've been able to diagnose and troubleshoot many issues with my car and those of my friends already, saving time and money. One issue was dirty o2 sensors which commonly need replaced after 100k miles. This scanner picked it up on the first scan. If you're a DIY mechanic on a budget, I highly recommend the Innova 1000 v2. It's a great value for the price and a valuable addition to any home mechanic's toolkit. Highly recommend!

This review is for the Innova 1000 v2 OBD2 Scanner. This is awesome for initial self-diagnosis of why your warning lights in your vehicle are on. Some places let you use their scanner (and some charge you), but this at least can set you on the right path and help save a little money in diagnostic costs. A huge benefit of this particular product is that there is no ongoing subscription cost for updates to the code lists (which is awesome when you get a new vehicle or if you’re helping a friend or family member diagnose theirs). I’m a bit of a nerd when it comes to tech, but connecting to my Android device was incredibly straightforward and should be super simple for just about anyone, just download the app and create your account (you can sign in with Google too), plug in the device to the OBD port, and go. I was able to pull a full history of all codes that were thrown and clear them if I like. I used this to confirm one of the issues I was having with AC in one of our vehicles. You can also easily pull a list of recalls and TSBs for your vehicle right from the app, which is nice. For the price and lack of subscriptions necessary to get code updates, this thing rocks!
