One of the best items I've gotten for car troubleshooting. This one is everything I expected plus a little more with the simplicity of the way the app sorts the faults. So far it has worked really well and has been very accurate with reading codes on all three of my vehicles. Surprised at how quickly it returns the results for a portable unit. You can save your vehicles and not have to enter VIN every time thereafter. Wasn't hard connecting to my phone once the app was downloaded. Every time I have had a warning light it has accurately given the same code result as the mechanic shop nearby I use. The fact that it lets you click on the needed parts and does an instant search at most common after market stores locally makes it that much faster to find what you need for the repair. Makes it easy to have a reference on what the potential parts could cost. Also, to know what parts are actually needed before going to a shop. The other cool feature I like is it gives the severity of fault and ratings on urgency of repair. Planning to buy another to place in my sister's car so I can teach her how to check codes and tell me what is needed before going to help fix things on her car....Perfect gift for your wife, girlfriend, or college student to make car maintenance easier and more efficient. Great gift for a guy too! Definitely worth what I paid for it.

I’m definitely not one to leave reviews, however I’m extremely thrilled with this scanner. I’ve been having an on and off check engine light on my 2018 Silverado 1500 since I bought the vehicle in 2021. Usually it only comes on during the Minnesota winter, so having to drive to Autozone or bring it into the dealership is a real pain when it’s -15° out. Getting the scanner and app set up took literally one minute. Captured everything I need from the Vehicle information to the MIL DTC and other stored codes. Some have said the dongle is cheaply made, which might be true, but what difference does it make when it’s discrete and clean. What matters is the ability to hold a connection (no issues), reliability, and that it functions correctly- all of which seem to be true. Definitely would recommend to anyone who is mechanically inclined or if you’re a cautious driver who hates the pesky orange light. You can clear codes, monitor live reports, record your vehicles data. Really a sweet tool.

I've been using an Innova 3211 OBD reader for many years now. However just about a month ago it began erroring every time I tried to read the data on my daughters cars, a 2003 Toyota Camry, and a 2004 Mercury Marquis. Error reading data. So i could no longer clear the check engine light, which in Illinois means, that you arent going to pass the emissions test and you have are gonna spend lots of money to fix whatever is causing the check engine light. Anyway, my one daughter had purchased this new Innova unit but had not used it yet. I gave it a try and was very happy to see I was able to read all the data successfully and clear the check engine light on both vehicles. Not sure why the 3211 is no longer working correctly, but it was worth the money back then for the 3211 and it is certainly worth the money for this new version. I highly recommend and have been a loyal Innova customer for decades.

The Innova 1000 Bluetooth OBD2 Scanner has been a great addition to my toolbox. Setup was quick and straightforward. Pairing it with my iPhone took only a few minutes, and the app interface is clean, intuitive, and easy to navigate, even if you’re not especially tech savvy. The scanner reads and clears engine codes accurately and provides live data that’s genuinely useful for diagnosing issues. I like that it gives clear descriptions of trouble codes instead of just numbers, which makes it much easier to understand what’s going on before deciding on repairs. For routine check engine lights, emissions-related issues, and basic diagnostics, it does exactly what you need. Bluetooth connectivity has been stable, with no random disconnects during use. I bought this because their website claimed it would read transmission temp on the car I entered into their search. Sadly, it does not. Also, the custom scan function doesn't work either-it does a full scan no matter what I select. I have contacted the vendor and have sent the data captures to them so fingers crossed. It is however, easier to use than the older dedicated scanner I bought from Sears 8 years ago, so there is that. I rarely use my older scanner and when I do, I have to fumble around for several minutes trying to figure out how to do things on it. This innova 1000 is very easy to understand using the cellphone app and runs very well despite the mentioned flaws.

It is a lifesaver device, will save tons of money by eliminating unwanted doubts , and skip not needed auto repair based on hunches. Don’t waste your money on this. You will spend forever on discovering the vehicle, then when you start the scan it will say scan dtc, could not link to the vehicle. Waste of money.
