  • Quality hammer with quick release
Style: Hammer
This has been in my toolbox for 5-6 years. Works great and is more than capable of any job. The included quick release makes this a steal in my opinion.

  • Amazing air hammer
Style: Hammer
I bought the dewalt one thinking it would be good, it's the worst air hammer on the market. Pretty disappointing. But this air hammer hits hard and fast. 3x better than the dewalt. I've tore a lot of tile out with it. Makes tile removal the easiest money on the job. Even really well stuck tile comes up pretty easily, just sit on your knees and pull the trigger. Easy money. Well worth the 50 bucks or whatever. ... show more

  • Gun works well but hard on the wrist
Style: Hammer
This hammer gun is well made and takes some hard use. I bought it mainly because of manufacturer and it came with quick change bit holder. I used it for several hours tearing up 700 sq ft of ceramic floor tile and removing remaining thinset material. Granted the gun isn't designed for this use but it worked. Ran it with recommended 80 psi air pressure with 80 gal I R compressor. Out of the box I was surprised how heavy the gun was. Likes: Well made and heavy duty. Quick change bit holder. Nice size but long. Dislikes: Weight and balance very fatiguing on wrist. Has deep stroke making it difficult to handle. Have to apply lot of pressure to keep strokes short and rappid. Quick change chuck became dirty from dust and thus made bit removal difficult at best...even with oiling bit which made a mess. Air exhaust is around barrel and points toward work. Had to rubberband a sock around it to keep from spitting oil and blowing dust every where. Air pressure regulator knob at handle inlet would not stay in position...works back to full pressure. Shape of handle causes pressure against top of thumb web area and caused blister. Had to wear extra heavy glove plus taping padding to my right hand. I use high-flow aluminum air chucks and fittings. The vibration from this gun will destroy those fittings. I used 18" hose whip and had no problems after that. All this said, I can recommend this tool for normal short time uses. On my knees hammering on a floor for hours was not good for myself or the tools. I broke three 3" thinset removal bits. Welded the shanks and would break again in a different place. Used different manufacturers bits but still broke. Don't think it was fault of gun...just manner of non-stop use. ... show more

  • This is a workhorse of a tool
Style: Hammer
I'm chipping off cement from old stone buildings and this thing is a workhorse of a machine. Came with 3 bits and they all work well for the intended use. Mine came with the stupid anti-theft plastic thingy, a quick hammer blow broke the plastic to revel the screw. Working with a DeWalt 2.6CFM compressor and it works fairly well for my slower speed chiseling, but a higher rating CFM would be needed for constant work. Honestly, for this price compared to a dedicated device is the bargain of the year. It's heavy as it should be and holds well. Standard ( and inexpensive ) bits are available everywhere. Do yourself a favor, if you need a rugged tool that is just short of 100% full time professional, this is it. ... show more

  • Good Bang for the Buck! Seems QC upped their game.
Style: Hammer
So far I've used it several times to "coax" rusted thing where I need them to be with great success. I'm a full time mechanic, and haven't had an issue in the 5-10 times I've had to pull it out of it's draw. I looked through the reviews after puchase but before receiving the air hammer, and I was a bit freightened. As of January 2020, all of the quality control issues I had read about have been fixed. Maybe the contract went to a new factory. Or someone up at the top lit a fire underneath the company that held the contract for IR. Either way, the grip looks good, I see no signs of bad machieing or bad molding. As for the tool galling or deforming the air chisels bits that are provided and being stuck in the quick release: Zero issue. Maybe the steel has been upgraded. Maybe others were putting in 8hrs straight on this tool. I've had zero problems with tool deformation and being stuck. I used some bits more than others. The tips of course so wear, but where the tool meets the bit all if fine. I did read that there where some internal failures as well. So far so good. But this tool comes out for about 15 minutes at a time. Or even less. If this is the only took you used for your entire 8hr shift, maybe look to greener pastures. If this tool is used to break loose a stubborn bolt on a Thursday afternoon and to knock out a axle on Friday. Then is is a good "bang" for the bucks. Over all: price, ease of use, and power are all great in my book. Just shoot some oil in her with every use and it should last a lifetime. ... show more

  • FANTASTIC AIR HAMMER. ESPECIALLY FOR THE PRICE.
Style: Hammer
We all know Ingersoll Rand. They make great, GREAT air tools. This one is no exception. I work in a professional shop setting, and use both battery operated tools and air tools. Both have their place, but air tools still reign supreme if you need a bit extra umph. I initially was a bit apprehensive of the price for this air hammer, wondering if it would be enough for the applications I would be using it for... but after properly torquing the set screws down on the quick change bit retainer (use a proper 1/4" torque wrench for this or you may not be putting the set screws on correctly), I was BLOWN AWAY by the power this little thing has. At under $100, this little guy is PERFECT for the jobs I've completed so far with it. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, ESPECIALLY FOR THE PRICE. DON'T WAIT. GET ONE NOW. ... show more
