  • Amazing and Easy!
This product does an absolutely amazing job at sealing concrete. Our driveway is aging, but after a proper power washing and applying this, it looks new again. Application is straightforward and easy. The directions are clear and when applied correctly, the concrete is basically waterproof. We are in a heavily wooded area so we get tons of sticks, twigs, leaves and other natural debris that degrades into the small pieces inviting other growth on the drive constantly. Naturally, it adheres to the concrete and darkens it over time. With this, the stuff washes off with a hose and the water runs off of it. We couldn't be happier with this product! We've tried 3 other products over the decades we've lived here, but this is the one that works! ... show more

  • As expected - good stuff.
The product goes on easy with a sprayer! The instructions are super clear. I really appreciate that it is water-based - easy clean up. I used it on my garage and driveway. Two months in, it seems to be doing the job!

  • Great Product and support
My slab concrete patio had a bit of age on it and fallen leaves from the surrounding trees stained it terribly and quickly. I seemed to always be too busy to consider sealer products in the past so just lived with a stained patio in-between spring cleaning. Having just retired, I did some research on sealer types and product reviews and chose the Foundation Armor DOT approved product. It features a longer lasting (higher quality) base than many but did cost more than others as well. I pressure washed/bleached and rinsed the patio and let dry for 2 days before the day of application (doing my best to keep leaves off it's surface). On the day of application, the weather report predicted rain in the late evening or next day. The instructions said to apply the sealer in the evening so that it wouldn't dry in the hot sun too quickly. I phoned the company's help line and had no problem speaking with tech support. The nice fellow understood my situation and assured me it would be ok to apply the sealer that morning before things got too warm and would likely dry well enough before the predicted rains. Application was not difficult at all. I used a garden sprayer as prescribed, brushed out any "puddling", and then applied a second coat while the first was still drying. The first coat soaked into the substrate well. The second coat less so... It's obvious the second coat is used to produce an even saturation of the substrate/concrete. It dried nicely and did not really change the cleaned appearance of the patio. It's been several weeks and the result, to me, is fantastic. Leaves falling on the patio do not stain it to any significant degree. And, promise, my leaf blower removes the solid leaves from the surface MUCH easier and faster than I recall. We'll have to see how long the protection lasts... for now, I extremely pleased with the product and result! Highly recommend it! ... show more

  • Easy to apply and works as advertised
I have a 20 year old house with a long, steep driveway. Unfortunately previous owners used chemical de-icers on the concrete which resulted in a fair amount of spalling (aka scaling). I received a credit to replace the driveway but I wanted to put that off for a few years but I also wanted to slow the process down so I did some research and found that this type of sealer was by far the best and lasted the longest. My home inspector suggested a commercially available sealer that you can find at any big box home improvement store but the reviews on it, and others like it, weren't encouraging (he suggested Thompson's). I got a five gallon container which proved to be just enough to coat my driveway down to the street. I mixed it up a bit by rolling it and turning it upside down in case any of the ingredients separated during storage. I really liked that the container includes a pull out pouring spout; it was a dripless experience. I used a common two gallon pump sprayer that I use for gardening work. The sealer is white but goes on clear. The consistency is much like water so it was dispersed by my sprayer without any problem. Applying it couldn't have been easier and I was able to lay down all five gallons in about 30-40 minutes. Before using this sealer I tested a section of the driveway by pouring a cup of water on the surface. Virtually all of the water was absorbed by the concrete. I had some runoff but I think it was just because I was pouring faster than the concrete could absorb it. A day after I applied the sealer I repeated the test on the same spot and didn't have any absorption. I was surprised and repeated the test a few more times in other areas and got the same results. Will it still do that seven to ten years from now? I have no idea but I have no doubt that it will significantly slow down the spalling that I'm seeing in my driveway because the water can't penetrate, then freeze, then thaw the concrete and cause it to break apart. I need to point out that for the most part you'd never know that I put a sealer on the driveway. However, I do have some dark spots. These are mostly along the contraction/control joints. It looks OK but it is noticeable. ... show more

  • Well worth the cost
This is my second time sealing a driveway with this product. This is a perfect example of you get what you pay for. This stuff really does work and it works well. The best part is the ease of application and its ability to completely seal the driveway from stains and marks. My last application is still working after 2 years and i just used it to seal an entire driveway this week. ... show more
