Our monitor just finally died after six years. First the battery was a little spotty, finally it died in about year 4. We took the battery out and did fine with just the power cord, but the monitor unit just died last month. We also found out we’re having another baby, so I bought the monitor unit for the high price tag of $100. I didn’t read the description well enough, but there is NO BATTERY in this item. I think with most items with a very specific battery you’d assume that it would be included. Seems a little ridiculous for $100 not to include the battery (which sells for an additional $20, also seems ridiculous). ... show more
