Update: 6-19-2017 I found the perfect home for this scope, my Hatsan SuperTact pistol Mod25 Supertact Vortex Piston .177 Blk Hatsan Hg25tact177vort. It is a great fit for this rifle/pistol. The eye relief works great with the stock in the closed position. The pistol has very short mounting rails making it a bit of a challenge to find a scope that fits. A match made in heaven. Target shot at 10 meters, a 5/8" square of electrical tape. Very good results. It is hard to add to anything that has been said about this scope. It is very lightweight and compact. I mounted it on a Benjamin Maximus PCP air rifle that is in itself almost feather weight. The shortness of the scope can make mounting it a challenge to obtain proper eye relief. It is a huge improvement over iron sights and it much better than the little dinky small tube air rifle scopes that cost $12-$15 at most places. The Benjamin shoots 5 shot one hole groups at 10 meters with this scope. The gun I had it on produces virtually no recoil so I expect this scope to last a good long time. The mil dots are just icing on the cake. Note: The parallax does not seem to be Ideal for close range 10 meter use. To get good results you really have to concentrate. It will do it but it requires that you really pay attention to your eye position at close ranges. Due to weather I have been restricted to my indoor 10 meter shooting range. I cannot stack pellets as easily with this scope as I can with the Daisy 3x9x32 dedicated air rifle scope, or the CVLife 3x9x40 (great product and easier to mount on most air rifles). I think it is still a great value, I moved it to my rim fire rifle that is used at longer ranges. I bought a CVLIFE 3x9x40 to get a better eye relief setting on the Maximus. The short scope did not fit that application well. Not the scopes fault.

I want to be clear in my review that I'm reviewing this scope based on its quality for the small amount of money it costs instead of how useful it was to me. Up front I'll say that I can't imagine a better scope for so little money. I ordered it for use on my Crosman 1322 air pistol (that's now a carbine since I've added a stock to it). The pistol comes with 3/8" dovetail grooves for scope mount. This scope is described as having 11mm dovetail mounts (the option I chose), and I thought from what some reviewers wrote that it would work on my 3/8" dovetails. For such a low price, I confess that I wasn't expecting much even with numerous decent reviews. I use a nice Bushnell 3-9X on my .22 rifle and am spoiled by it. But with that gun, my shooting ranges are closer to 50 yards, whereas with the air gun it's more like 10 - 20 yards. So I figured a 4X would be fine (and be way better than the terrible stock iron sights for my aging eyes). When I received the CVlife scope, I was quite impressed. The build quality is very good. It feels very solid. The turret adjustment caps screw on and off easy and fasten securely. The lens is very clear, and the reticle very nice. Not Bushnell good, but then I didn't pay $130 for this scope. So I'll call it good to very good. I have zero doubt that this scope would be durable in field use for a long time. Then, I realized my two problems with the scope. First, only one of the rings would clamp to my 3/8" dovetail. The second one would not grasp the dovetail. I tried multiple times, holding it differently, bracing it into the groove as I tightened the screws gently. But every time, secure connection failed. It just slipped off. After some reading, I learned that 3/8" and 11mm dovetails are not designed the same, and rings for one sometimes will not fit the other. I guess my case falls into the "sometimes" category. For grins, I tried sighting through the scope with only one ring holding it (which was still pretty tight for this experiment, but would have been woefully inadequate for regular use). I quickly found that the eye relief was very much too short for my air rifle, even though the stock is very short. I knew from the description of this scope that the eye relief was fairly short, but thought (mistakenly) that I could mount it back far enough that I could use it. But I realized that even if the rear mount had clamped on, the shortness of the scope tube did not leave me enough room to mount the scope back far enough for a good view. So alas, even though I really wanted this scope to work for me, especially after realizing that it's really well designed and built, for those two reasons alone, I must return it. Even still, I give it high marks. (I only gave it 4 stars because of the ring not fitting the 3/8" dovetail. But it deserves 4.5 stars. And for anyone with an 11mm dovetail who can work with shorter eye relief -- like on a stockless air pistol, perhaps -- this scope would be a keeper. My thanks to CVLife for the opportunity to try this out. Even though I paid return shipping, it was still worth a try.

I didn't expect much, it's a very inexpensive scope. 11mm mounts attached easily and securely to a dovetail rail. Scope rings are decent, clarity is decent in lenses. Mounted on my Ruger Blackhawk .177 pellet rifle. Bore sighted at 100ft. Used high quality ammo to finish zero. Left to right sighting was flawless. Unable to raise crosshair elevation enough to get good zero. Pretty sure turning the elevation up or down did nothing. Moved target to 50 feet and attempted to re-zero, same problem. Left to right adjustment is flawless, elevation adjustment is non functioning, so I need to adjust holdover to accurately shoot. I ordered 2 of these, the other being for my .22lr. I'll update when I have time to bore sight and zero that one. 3 stars because it won't give me the option to rate it 2½ stars.

Can’t wait to test this thing out. Seems like decent quality for the low price. Compact too so the weight is lesser than any other scope you might mount. I’m using it for my Marlin 795 .22lr so I didn’t want to go too crazy on a scope and spend a lot. This seems like it’ll do the trick. Will report back after I take it to the range. **UPDATE** 10/08/2020 Came back from the range, and I must say... for the price, this thing is definitely worth it! Off the bat, the scope was already zeroed in at 50 yards with 1 inch groups. Also hit metal targets at 100 yards. The glass is clean and crisp!! I let about 8 people shoot with this scope, and everyone thought I spent around $120 for the scope alone due to the quality and accuracy. They were very surprised on how much I paid. Just make sure you put blue loctite on the screws when attaching to your rail. I honestly don't know when it got loose at the range, but everyone that came with me were still hitting targets at the end of the day. Then I found out at the end of the day the scope was loose lol. Don't think twice about this scope.

I love the form factor, it is very compact. That's about where my love for this thing ends. The glass is just ok, even given the price. The sight picture is a bit blurry/milky and distorted at the edges. The reticle is incredibly thick and makes shot placement at distance difficult because the reticle covers so much of the target. The thick reticle is not conducive for use with .22LR at anything but the shortest distances. By the time you get down range far enough to use the mil dots, which appear to be in 5 mil increments, the reticle has obscured a large amount of the target, and you can't see it all that well anyway. Despite the adjustable parallax, I couldn't quite adjust out all of the error. The documentation doesn't state at what distance the parallax is optimized for. The rings fit my picatinny rail just fine, but they're crazy tall (1.3in/33mm) particularly for such a small objective lense scope. Build quality of the rings is on par with the price of the scope, no complaints there. The bikini scope caps were definitely an afterthought, they're comically oversized. I also bought the Simmons pro rimfire 4x32 for $23 more than this scope, to compare the two, as I couldn't decide. The Simmons is much brighter, clearer, and has a wider FOV than the CVLife 4x32. If you're looking for a great budget rimfire scope, that Simmons is worth the extra $23, skip the CVLife and don't look back.

I replaced the Center Point 4-9X scope that came on my new Crosman Guide Hawk 22 Cal break barrel air rifle with this scope and it works beautifully! I could not hold a group of less than 3 inches in diameter using the CP because its extreme parallex error (aim point shift), and very bad optical distortions . Slight variation in head position causes large shifting of the CP aim point, and I could not achieve a clear focus except at the lowest magnification (4x), with or without my glasses. Even at 4x the optics were poor, with aberration distortion at the edges The CVLIFE scope mounted easily, held a precise aim point and has crisp/clear optics. After shooting a few 5 shot groups, the rifle was on target with tight groups of less than 3/4 inch at 50 ft. The price was amazing ($16, purchased 21 Dec 17, Prime). The scope comes with high mount "see-through" with 1 inch rings which would be useful if you wish to use fixed sights on your barrel. My rifle had none and I used the Center Point rings to mount the CVLIFE scope. Anyway, I am very pleased with the scope’s initial performance. I will follow up this review after the scope has experienced a few hundred jolts of "break-barrel recoil'. Chuck McB
