  • A great cooking experience!
We had an induction cooktop stove in our previous home, and though our new home has a six-burner gas Wolf oven & stovetop, induction cooking is cleaner and more efficient. We use this induction cooker at least twice daily and it is an excellent product. The cooking range is from 300 watts to 1500 watts, simmering is a breeze and it will boil a couple of quarts in about two minutes. We have had some variability in our cookware; several pieces that say Induction on their bottom surface have not worked on this cooktop. I tried the “magnet trick” since induction cooking only works with ferrous metals, and found the questionable cookware was only weakly attaching to the magnet. I think that may be the reason other reviewers are reporting the cooktop shuts off. That’s what it did for us, too - it turns on but quickly shuts off if induction ready cookware isn’t being used. We took this cooker to my dad’s house where he cooks with propane. He was so impressed that he ordered one and uses it daily, as well. My only irritation with the unit is its power cord; the cord is stiff and the plug isn’t offset at an angle but rather straight out from the outlet. Our kitchen outlet has the power outlet on one side, so we must be careful not to hit the cord with anything when it is plugged in. The cord itself is very stiff and has relaxed not a whit since we’ve been using it. However, on balance this isn’t even a real concern when the utility of the cooktop is considered. ... show more

  • Great, use it everyday as primary cooking tool
I purchased and began using this induction cooktop in August. I appreciate its quality construction and the induction heat it provides. I absolutely love it and use it every day. After Thanksgiving, made a turkey bone broth. I set the timer for 10 hours and set temp to 210. The broth came out clear and excellent. Simple to have the electric canner out for the season and store it away out of sight afterwards. Initially, I thought I'd store this induction cooktop, but I found it so useful that it now stays out on the counter all the time. The larger the coil under the glass, the better the cooking experience. Cheaper cooktops have a small coil which tend to concentrate to much heat into a small area, burning food and warping pans mercilessly. The best cooking experiences I've had were with the commercial one featuring larger coils, high-quality electronics, and a great value for the price. ... show more

  • Excellent Quality
I was curious about induction cooking. Before replacing my glass top stove with a n induction range, I decided to first try a single induction unit. I read many reviews and noticed most problems were associated with low price single induction units. I decided to find a quality unit. This one was perfect. I love it! It is easy to use and easy to clean. It is a large sturdy unit with a big cooking surface. It is worth the money. I like it so much that I am ordering a second unit today!!! No more scraping and scrubbing my glass stove top. I found that most of my pots worked just fine. I did replace one saucepan. ... show more

  • Have to constantly watch this cooker
Got this cooker so I could accurately control the temp on my induction pressure canner. Does that very well. Only problem is it can not be trusted to not shut off part way through the canning cook time. It shuts off and goes to a error. You have to power off then on again before your pressure drops off so you have to start your time all over. Very frustrating to say the least. Doesn’t do it every time so that’s why you can’t trust it. ... show more

  • Becoming a more experienced chef with this induction stovetop
I do a lot of all day cooking with different pots, included Cuisinart 12qt stock pot, Calphalon 3 qt Saute pan. I used built-in ceramic glass cooktop before, and now, I am trying this portable induction cooktop. Because I am careful with my glass top and I don’t crack it by hitting on heavy pots. I love making turkey soup every year and chicken soup often. So I looked on Amazon and found what I can buy as an additional burner. I heard Schott glass and NSF from my friend before, he is a chef. Schott glass is known for making it ideal for use in high-temperature applications. It also resistant to thermal shock, meaning they can withstand sudden temperature changes without cracking or breaking. This will be wonderful for my cooking, such as boiling potatoes or steaming veggies or even stewing other meats with this portable cooktop. It looks durable and corrosion-resistant. It can hold a hot / heavy pot and give me no trouble. The heat truly is distributed throughout the bottom of the pan resulting in even cooking. And it does not make my kitchen hot. ... show more

  • Easy off-grid cooking when combined with my portable solar set-up
It is nice with this stove coupled with a Bluetti battery and solar panel, to have the option to cook off-grid when things go South with my homes grid based power supply. The ability to readily boil water for food needs, as well as charge our cell phones, just seems like the prudent and wise move to make in our heavily wired world. Very sturdy and well-built and it feels like it is commercial grade in it's build quality as it is advertised to be. I am very happy with this purchase. ... show more

  • I wanted to love this SO much!
The media could not be loaded. I am super disappointed that this item has started to misbehave!!! It wouldn’t bother me so much if it had made these noises the very first time I used it. And I’m not talking about the usual fan blowing sounds that portable induction cook tops make, I’m talking about the tick.tick.clicks. I have two others, made by different brands-that do not tick tick and click, they both make the usual fan sounds. I did NOT plan on returning this, but it started to make noises after my second use- so there’s no way I’m going to wait & see what happens... Too expensive. What a friggin bummer. I’ve attached a short vid. ... show more
