I just installed this a few hours ago, and so far it works wonderfully! There is a feature to talk through the camera which works (I forced my dog to sit in front of it and help me test it) as well as the option to get a notification if there's movement. The motion detection feature also allows you to only detect motion in certain parts of the FOV, so I set it to detect only my front door and above the couch because my dog was setting it off every few minutes. I went down the road to the store and the app still worked great. My only complaint, and its a small one, is that I wish it came with an SD card; I didn't know I'd need one to record motion detection and camera history. Best camera out of 2 that I've purchased ! Purchased this to keep an eye on my 3 dogs while I'm away- it's easy to set up, the voice comes through nice & clear when talking to them. ( I had my sister listen). I don't do any recording so I don't keep a card in it . I do take take screenshots of my pets once in awhile if they're doing something cute while I'm away, but mostly they're sleeping. I love this camera !! I unboxed immediately and hooked it up so I'll know if I have any issues before my return date ends. For those saying it won't work with 5G, are incorrect. The first camera option I chose when installing, it did say no 5G, so I chose the next camera option on the app, hooked right up with my 5G. Someone also said you can't control the panning when not on the same wi-fi. That was also false. I was at the store and had no issue panning my camera. I really like security cameras/surveillance items. I've had hard wired dvr systems throughout my property for many years. I stumbled upon this camera from my next door neighbor. I've had 2 indoor & 1 outdoor and I'm amazed at how good they work ,all of the features and they're very reasonably priced. I've had to email tech support a couple of times and they were prompt & on point with what I needed to do. These are plug-in, which are ok for indoor, would like to see same but wireless or Bluetooth without having to run wires nor change batteries. I would recommend & purchase again. I have only had this a few days, so I will come back and update in a few months. We have 3 Chihuahua mix dogs we have had since birth, that are now 7 years old. When we walk them they made a friend with a stray cat, and I was thrilled they got along so well! So we recently got 2 kittens only 7 weeks old. Not wanting to terrify the kittens, we put them in my sons room and "visit" them several times a day to get them acquainted; kittens aren't there yet lol. So anyways, I got this camera so I could keep a close eye on them, and I absolutely LOVE it! It also give me recorded video of us playing with them. The camera was very easy to set up, appears to be well constructed, and moves silently when motion is detected. The sound quality is mych better than the different brand security cameras I bought for the house. No lag or crackling when I use the app to speak to them. My only complaint is mounting or position so that I can see kittens on floor, or up on tree. Neither way I tried to mount it achieved my goal, no did sitting it on the dresser. I finally placed it on dresser, and put a wedge under the back of the base, and now I see where I want. If using for security camera this probably wouldn't be an issue at all. I wish they made one for outdoors! In conclusion, at this time I am very happy with my inexpensive camera, and whether for security or watching your pets, it will not disappoint. ... show more

The app is free to download and very simple to use. I get notifications of movement over the app to my phone and I can connect to the camera from anywhere using Wi-Fi.
