Almost 30 years ago I bought a wok and a three piece bamboo stir set. Needlessly to say, I never really figured it out and made a lot of big messes, burned all three utensils and out went the wok. A few years later I discovered how easy and delicious it was to make cheese fondue in an enameled cast iron pot but you had to use a wooden spoon to constantly stir it while melting the cheese. A normal wooden spoon is a little rough and the cheese was very hard to get off it. And then I remembered the wide flat bamboo spoon from the wok set and it’s perfect for fondue because it’s smooth and resistant and you can just rub the cheese off with hot water right after making the fondue - no soap! I’ve made a hundred fondues with that bamboo spoon and even though the finish wore off long ago it still works perfectly. But it won’t last forever and I’ve been looking for an exact replacement - bamboo with the same size and shape - and I finally found it in this set. Thank you! ... show more

I am amazed at the price and delivery time especially during this quarantine, shelter in place period. The cost of anything and everything has gone way up since shelter in place was put into effect. With all the panic buying prices of everything just sky rocketed and delivery time was extended for weeks. But to my astonishment, this magnificent cooking utensil were such a great buy and delivery time was just 2 days where most of the other ones I was interested in will take up to 2 weeks due to the effects of the quarantine period.
