I ordered this in July of 2021. It is now May of 2024 & it has held up perfectly with no issues. I accidentally broke the glass that holds the coffee, but I have SO many cups that I'm able to just stick in there instead & they fit perfectly. After I bought this machine, It has been very rare that i drink coffee from any startbucks/scooters locations! This machine really does work good. You definitely save money in the long run. Previously I had the model 18202 for over four years the only thing I found problematic with it was number one the switch on the side after a four year. Finally broke I tore it apart once and fixed it and it broke again but at the cost of $25 to buy a replacement on Amazon I figured it's not worth the time to fix it so I looked on Amazon saw this newer model it looked like it had a better switch and I purchased it however it did have a good switch but after testing it it seemed like it was a coffee maker I went to the website for IMUSA come to find out there's no bar listed for the coffee maker pressure I don't know how they can call this and express a machine or cappuccino machine when you pour water in the top of the machine and it ends up pouring out the bottom when you fill it all the way to the top there's no pressurisation and espresso machine pressurises the water going through the coffee to make it extremely rich and flavorful coffee makers just drip hot water through the coffee so be aware if you're looking for a coffee maker this will do just fine although we agree with other people that the coffee coming through this was not extremely hot I could see the difference between our model eighteen two O two in this model the cup where the coffee set this model had a much longer coffee cup area which would obviously dissipate heat in the coffee before it goes into the coffee cup or coffee mug below the things I did like about this one the led was much brighter unfortunately they had it on the side so even though it was brighter you couldn't end up seeing that you left the machine on our model 2O2 has the led in the front but unless you're standing right in the front of it it is very dim and therefore also somewhat difficult to see but at least it's in the front I have purchased the newer model which is a 18215 This one looks as though the switch is better and more stout it does have the led in the front but it doesn't look like it's very big the downside is it looks like it has a cover on the top that you have to slide off before you can unscrew and put water into it although it doesn't allow for water to be spilled on the top and heat it up to leave water droplets on the top of your coffee maker it does have a smaller cup so if you're into really hot coffee it looks like it will retain the heat on the espresso machine and it does have five bar like the model 18 202 unlike this model which lists no bar and obviously doesn't have any pressurisation on the water coming through it it just heats it up and pours it over the coffee grounds hopefully this review will make your decision more easy and you don't have to buy it and then return it like I'm having to do ... show more

I love the large capacity and that I’m able to make four shots at once, very convenient when you love strong coffee. The machine was easy to use and def paid itself back within months as a macchiato will run you $5-$8 at most coffee shops. I don’t drink coffee everyday, so my average use was about 8 times a month, and after three years the start button stopped working. I hate for a good machine to go into a landfill so I tried take it apart and see if I could repair it, but the springs had rusted. I never put the base in water so not sure how moisture got in there and what caused this to happen. I’m assuming maybe from the steam. Debating on whether to buy again, for a low cost machine it works wonderfully but I don’t want to have to replace every few years. ... show more

Ahh... Espressos/Cappuccinos/Lattes etc. at home for a GREAT PRICE! (around $50 plus $10 for ground espresso beans, I chose Lily brand very delish, and a $10 milk frothing pitcher, lookup Dailyart -and get the 20oz, the 12oz is too small!) This little buddy (which looks sharp on your kitchen counter) delivers piping hot espresso! You pour in the water, flip on the on switch and it heats up quickly, load the cartridge (careful full is indeed a quadruple, match how full with how much you need in that moment and the amount of water you use) and after a few minutes when the light goes on, lock it in and start it up! The only key is you have to steam your milk while the machine is delivering the goods, not a big deal to me but you have about a 4-minute window... maybe there's another way but I think that's how it is, so be ready and enjoy the turbo jet boosted caffeine power of the Imusa USA 4 Cup Epic Electric Espresso/Cappuccino Maker 800 Watts (the official name!) 😁☕ ... show more

I purchased this model primarily for its competitive price and features, including the placement of the steam nozzle on the right side and the function knob on the left, which aligns with designs in similar espresso makers I have owned before. The advertised five-bar pressure was what pushed me to press the "place-your-order" button. However, the safety feature that disconnects the unit after reaching a specific pressure may limit the extraction of flavor from the ground coffee, potentially resulting in a less flavorful brew compared to other machines. Additionally, the unit's slender body design can create stability issues, making it prone to accidental tipping. The removable drip tray has been noted as flimsy and does not remain securely in place when handling the glass carafe. This espresso maker meets some expectations but does not fulfill all. I am giving it a rating of 3 out of 5, indicating that while the product has merits, it also has notable drawbacks, particularly regarding the removable drip tray, which may be a pet peeve for some users.
