This small unit is perfect for single use brewing! You don't need to spend a ton of money to get a great cup of espresso/cappuccino! Here are some operational tips: fill carafe to 4 cup level with filtered water, pour into machine then fill to the 2 cup mark and pour in. This will allow the brewing process and milk frothing process without a break. When the coffee starts to brew, catch the first few drips in something other than your carafe. These first drops are weak. You will hear and see the difference when the coffee is truly being brewed. Once the brewing process is finished, turn the knob to steam, and have your milk pitcher filled (2/3 c) and ready to allow the frothing process to begin. Once frothing is completed, turn off, and immediately wrap a wet paper towel around the stem to help with easy cleanup. Be careful as it is still HOT! Note: don't pour all of the brewed espresso into your coffee cup as there may be some grounds in the bottom of the carafe. Pour in milk and froth to make your perfect cup of cappuccino!     • Really not bad for being the cheapest espresso machine I've ever seen

This little thing isn't too bad! For the price, it's surprisingly well-built and gets the job done. All of the components seem sturdy, with a decent amount of hefty metal used in its production. It heats up relatively quickly, and seems built to withstand the pressure it builds up inside the machine while you're running it. It's relatively small and doesn't take up a crazy amount of counter space, which is nice. I've also not noticed any leakage yet, besides the odd drip from the milk frother but that's to be expected. It does get pretty noisy while it's running, but it's not unbearable. When you first set it up, you're going to have to run a LOT of water through it before it loses that weird plasticky smell/taste. I ran 5 or 6 brews through it before it was manageable enough to confidently make something I'd be willing to drink. The milk frother seems to work well enough, and I don't have many complaints about. It might be nice if it was a bit longer or had the ability to move around a little, but those are very minor complaints for what you're getting. I will add, any espresso I've gotten out of this machine has zero crema. It's more like really strong, concentrated coffee and less like proper espresso. It's not bad, and works for my very basic flat whites at home, but you may be a bit disappointed if you're picky about espresso. It also seems that you have to run the milk frother whenever you're brewing it at the start of the process so it has a chance to build up some pressure. A lot of the time, I'll be using it anyways, but it might be a bit weird if you're just wanting a shot of espresso and you have to run the frother to blast some steam into an empty cup. Overall, for a machine that allows me to make flat whites at home for cheap, this gets the job done. If you're really picky you may end up wanting more, but for my needs this is more than enough. And with the price being comparable to a regular drip coffee maker, you can't really go wrong here. ... show more

UPDATE: Customer service replied, and after sending pictures and proof of purchase, they sent me a replacement lid. Now I no longer have any problems with the product. Overall, we have enjoyed this espresso machine. I purchased it on sale. Using the product is very simple, and we like the size and enjoy that it makes 4 shots at a time. The frother does amazing work, and we use heavy cream, not milk. It makes the heavy cream frothy and delicious. The only issue I have is the gasket for the water reservoir lid. The first time my husband used it, clouds of steam came from the lid, and it did not brew due to a lack of pressure. This was not my experience using it, so we looked deeper. Apparently, the lid gasket had come off and was improperly seated on the lid. The product guide does not mention this gasket, so we weren't sure exactly how it was supposed to go on. We took a guess and replaced it. It worked fine for some time after that. Then today, the issue occurred again. We took the lid off, and the gasket was in place; it hadn't fallen off. I decided to flip the gasket over and gave it a go. It worked fine after that. If you have issues with the gasket, the image attached with the gasket in the lid is the way I THINK it's supposed to go. I have since emailed Imusa customer service about this issue. I asked for a replacement gasket since there were none listed on the company website, and requested guidance on its proper care and placement on the lid. I will update my review once I hear back from them. ... show more
