3.5 stars really rounded up (see the end of the review for the whys. Though the color (um...old-lady-lip red) is a bit odd, I have used the cookware now to make soups, burgers, breakfast, and fried rice. It does clean up VERY nicely. The frying pan handles stay cool to the touch and they are big and easily graspable. I love the lids of the pots and the pan. The two larger ones can be used on the frying pans too. I had concerns about the cool touch handles on the soup pot because the rubber grips are snapped on and there is space for water to get inside them...but it hasn't been a problem yet. They aren't as cool as they could be... The accessories are a mixed bag. The pot holders and mitts are very slippery--dinner ended up on the floor one night thanks in part to the mitts. The utensils are nice and sturdy--perhaps a little oddly shaped, but useful. The reason for the lower score after such a glowing review is simply, the price. It is much higher than comparable sets. Those might not be "granite" but the ceramic pans I have are just as good as these in the non-stick category...So very nice set...kinda pricey.

I am pleased with this set! NON STICK PROPERTIES Well let me tell you, these are truly non stick. I've made fried eggs without sticking, although I do add a tablespoon of butter or grease since we like our edges somewhat deep fried. I've burnt cheese in them, and let them sit dirty overnight allowing biscuit gravy to dry on. All it takes is a paper towel to wipe them out, or for the dried on gravy, as soon as I give the blobs or crusted areas a push with a dish cloth they release. EXTERIOR COATING The exteriors aren't the same non stick as the interior, but they are still fairly slick and not too bad to clean off any dried foods. THICKNESS These aren't as thick as cast iron. They are thick enough for good heat distribution, but thin enough to be fairly lightweight. LIDS The vented tempered glass and silicone ringed lids have multiple vents, not only from the hole but also 2 built into the edges on the silicone rings. I found I can use the vents on the silicone ring, as a slow strainer on all pans and pots. I wouldn't mind if they made the silicone go deeper into the pot and had strainer holes. Maybe they will consider this improvement in future runs. UTENSILS AND OVEN MITTS the silicone with wood handled utensils are nice and sturdy. Now the oven mitts are good sized, but not great quality but do the job. CARE AND INSTRUCTIONS. - Don't leave it on a hot burner without food in it. - Don't cook on high, use medium high or lower settings. - Don't use metal utensils, I use silicone as I've found in the past, even plastic, nylon or wooden utensils eventually ruin the non stick coating. - Something that wasn't in the booklet, but I found somewhere in the listing body, is they aren't oven safe over 302 degrees Fahrenheit. I'm sure it's due to the bakelite/melamine handles on the sauce pot and skillet. But I've gone ahead and baked in the stock pot at 425 degrees Fahrenheit. But it has removable silicone handles, which I left on without issue. HANDLES The long handles are made of a bakelite/melamine with a rubberized silicone coating. I find them big enough they are easy to grip and twist for pouring even with arthritic hands. Because they are bakelite/melamine these cannot go in the oven over 302 degrees Fahrenheit or will be damaged. So don't give up your stainless steel skillet yet or you won't be able to finish some recipes off in the oven. The stock pot can go in the oven without damaging the silicone handles. OVERALL THOUGHTS I'm definitely sold on this set. Excellent non-stick, ergonomic handles, nice quality and ease of storing. Hopefully this was helpful, Thank you!
