I have had this item for a week now and I’m loving it. You can operate it by remote or the controls on the actual product. There are three color modes for both the logs and the flames. You can also chose them separately. For instance you could have blue flames with red logs. It has two heat settings and effectively warms up the 500ish square foot area I have it in. At the time I am writing this review the heater has been running on the high heat setting for about 3.5 hours and the sides and back are cool to the touch. The top of it is warm but wouldn’t hurt anyone. You can definitely tell that it’s a fake fire but even heaters that are 2 or 3 times more expensive that this one, you can still tell they are fake. I don’t anticipate it requiring too much power but I’ll look at my bill after a month or two and update it it’s sucking down a ton of electricity. All around it’s a great little heater, looks nice in your home and is priced appropriately. ... show more

Very nice, well constructed, pretty and easy to use. The "heat" isn't as warm coming out of it as other brands I've tried, but it still gets the job done. It's a 3 prong cord, which is best when using a heater. It does not get hot on the top or anywhere else. It's not loud but you can hear it. The sound is about the same as a fan. It has a remote and it's easy to use. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is I've had other heaters that are warmer. ... show more

I love this little fireplace heater! Easy to put together (just screw in the legs), looks great, heats well and you have to love the customizable flame and log colors. The flames looks very realistic and you can even change the speed of the flames. I put it in a room that doesn't get as much air from the furnace as the other rooms and it does a good job at adding additional heat. Remote is fully fuctional and easy to read/use. It's silent when the heat is off and when the heat is on the sound is very minimal you don't really notice it at all. ... show more

Lovely item, I bought one & it puts out more heat than another electric heater I bought . That is why I am going to buy another, which I just did. Customers said it was not realistic looking and I totally disagree with this opinion. It is VERY REALISTIC looking. The only problem I had with mine was that when I turn it off it doesn't go off right away, it cycles off for about 1/2 a minute before it totally shuts down. It warms one room and 1/2 of another bedroom I have. The first button seems like the air is not that hot so I put it on the second setting and it comes out very hot. I love the color choice to. So even though I see a few issues with it I still think it is the better heater to buy out of all other choices. Thank you ... show more

It's a lovely looking heater and seems very sturdy and well made. I really wanted to keep it. However, in my 300-400 sq ft living room/kitchen area, it takes literally hours to heat up at all. This is possibly due to the heating element being on the top, but also the fan isn't that strong. you can feel heat coming out about a foot or two from the front, but that's it. For $200, I definitely expect a heater to work better than my cheap $30 space heater, not worse. ... show more
