The first thing I will say, is these things are BRIGHT. Like, the rapture is coming Bright. So if brightness is what you're looking for, I promise that is what you are getting with these. The material is made of a very sturdy plastic. I will add that they are not exactly white. It was kind of bummer, when we put them up realizing that all of the trim and other light fixtures in our house were really white and these are more of an off-white almost tan/ivory color. These things adjust great, they're very easy to maneuver and position exactly where you want them. The main light in the center has a screw that you can loosen and tighten to make sure that you get it exactly where you want and to lock it in place. The controls on the bottom, for the timing and range of the motion sensor, are easy to adjust. I do wish that these came with a remote that you could use to change the settings because we mounted these pretty high up on our house so if we do ever want to adjust them I have to pull out the ladder and climb up two stories. But these have been great, the range is amazing, we have our sensitivity on high and it picks up the smallest things, which is what we wanted. They don't look too out of place on the house, but it would be better if the color was truly white. ... show more

I purchased these to replace outside security lights in the front and rear areas of my home, the lights they replaced were almost a decade old and used halogen bulbs which were bright but were expensive and burned out often the motion sensors never really worked correctly and regardless of the timing setting I put them one stayed on too long which probably accounted for the halogen bulbs burning up and actually bursting, these lights are not only brighter and stay on the set time but since they are LED panels no bulbs to replace! If you have ever installed patio lights these install the same way and took about 20 minutes a piece to install great lights extremely happy with my purchase! ... show more

I installed two of these in our storage room. They are plenty bright but take a couple seconds to react when you enter the room. Not a real problem, but just a little frustrating when you walk into a dark room. Otherwise, they are fine.

    • The motion detection is very inconsistent

This floodlight gives out a lot of light. I have it shining into our back yard and it lights up an archery target that's 30 yards away. I also like how I can direct the side lights to shine on areas of interest. But the motion detection is inconsistent, sometimes triggering, but usually not. Maybe it's because I mounted this horizontally, under a soffit, instead of the usual vertical placement on a wall. It also acts a bit weird when I turn it on at night. The light goes on for a few seconds, turns off for a few seconds, then turns on for a longer time, maybe 10 minutes before turning off for the night. While the switch is on, but the light is off, I can walk directly under the sensor and out into the yard, and the light usually will not turn on. Changing the sensitivity setting doesn't seem to do anything. ... show more
