I have another Dyson dupe that I really like. It comes in a nice carrying case, looks luxurious, and works pretty well overall with only one minor thing I don't love about it. Compared to that one I don't love this one quite as much. Primary reasons being that this doesn't technically come with a storage case. It does come in a nice strong box that you can keep and use as storage but it's not really the same look. Function yes, aesthetically pleasing not so much. That leads into the second reason also being aesthetics. I don't love the look quite as much. All of the pieces weigh a tiny bit less, and look a little bit cheaper. The overall finishing isn't bad it's just more functional. I don't think it looks quite as sparkly as it does in the photos. It is more silver and beige than silver and gold. All of that is just based on looks though. From a functionality standpoint there are a few things that I like more. I feel the connections on this one are a bit more sturdy. The locking mechanism slides easier. I really like the buttons on the side. They are more self explanatory. And the huge winner on this one is the ability to lock the control buttons. That is one thing I really struggled with on the other one especially when using the curling wrap feature. I have really long hair and it takes lots of wraps and I would accidentally change the heat setting on the other one. This allows you to set it once and not worry about it. However if you finish with the cool shot then you would need to unlock and then switch to cool making it a two step process. Lastly the other thing I really like about this one is that there are more tools overall. To have a diffuser, several types of paddle and round brushes in addition to the curling tubes is a nice perk. If you change your hair style a lot this could be the better option for you since you get more overall versatility. As a final note if you are worried about it only having one size curling barrel I don't consider that really an issue. I find the larger barrels don't work very well and pretty much exclusively use the smaller size they include here.

Just looking at the box you can tell there's a lot going on inside. The box is gigantic. The base of the drying system looks like a light saber, so that just make my geeky heart squeal with delight. There are a number of useful attachment in addition to just the blow dryer portion. There's a diffuser attachment; a large round brush and a small round brush for smoothing and adding a bit of body and wave to your hair; a flat brush for smoothing and straightening; and two curling iron attachments, one for each direction. Now, you may be wondering, as I was, why you need two separate curling irons to go different directions? Because the curling irons use the airflow to actually pull your hair into a curl around the rod. It's like magic! And it took at little bit of trial and error to get everything working the way it was supposed to instead of the way I thought it should work. You'll also get a heat-resistant glove for using the attachments without scorching your hand. It dries my hair quickly when just using the blow dryer. Even mare quickly if I'm using the brushes. When using the curling irons it needs to be mostly, but not all the way, dry to work best. I'm in love with every bit of it and keep inventing excuses to pretty up my hair because it's so fun to use.

This 7 in 1 styling tool is excellent! I haven’t tried the Dyson or Shark version, but I was pleasantly surprised by how effective this was. I did need to read the directions on how to use the tool, but it quickly made sense after understanding the different buttons. I tried the air wrap curling pieces (one for left curls, one for right curls) on my friend, and it gave her hair a nice body/volume with minimal heat damage. I’d say the curls ended up giving more of a “blowout” look vs. if you use a legitimate curling iron or wand. This would be great for doing children’s hair since it can be styled without a direct heating element that may cause an accidental burn. If you’re wondering, “Will this work on my hair?” I would say it depends. I used the blow dryer round brush end on curly hair, which worked well. That being said, my curls typically blow dry pretty straight. So, if your hair styles well with a blow dryer, this would work for you. I could style curly hair with this tool alone when I usually depended on my flat iron. That earns this product big points from me because I can tell I’m causing less heat damage to my hair now. This is a common air wrap, FYI, but a lot of the styling comes down to practice, and it took a few tries to get the curls that I was looking for.

First time I used this hairdryer and it's accessories, I could tell a difference in my hair. The accessories are easy to use and I was very impressed with the curling wands that suck your hair in one direction to make a nice curl (one for each side). It's a little loud, but if I'm not damaging my hair, I don't care. The only complaint I have is the release slide for the accessories. It doesn't feel like it totally engages, but the accessories are secure. Also, can be a little difficult to more the button to release the accessory. But these are minor and don't deserve to take off stars. As long as it continues to work, I will be happy with this instead of that very expensive similar one. It says it has a 2 year warranty. Fingers crossed!
