This AirPods Max headband cover has been very reliable. I have been using it for about two years, and it has held up extremely well. It has not stretched out, it stays securely on the headband, and it has not discolored. In fact, I have not even cleaned it yet, and it still looks the same as when I first installed it. One of the common complaints with the AirPods Max is that the headband can sag over time. Since using this cover, I have not had any sag develop at all. The headband padding still feels supportive and has maintained its shape. Another big advantage is cleanliness. The stock AirPods Max headband is not easy to clean, which was always a concern for me. With this cover, I can simply wipe it down with a disinfecting wipe, which makes maintenance much easier. It does slightly change the look of the AirPods Max, and if aesthetics are your top priority, that may matter. For me, cleanliness, protection, and longevity are far more important. The headphones still look clean and presentable, and I am very happy with the tradeoff. Overall, I would recommend this headband cover if you want to protect the AirPods Max headband, prevent sagging, and make it easier to keep clean.

I absolutely LOVE the sound of my AirPod Max headphones, both in transparency mode and in isolation mode. And they were extremely comfortable when new. Sadly, Apple chose a material for the headband that loses it's elasticity over time which means that the metal bars of the headband start to rest directly on your skill. To make matters worse, Apple doesn't sell replacements nor does the design make it easy to replace that part with a 3rd party product. Fortunately, this cover not only provides protection for the existing headband (which, tbh, I don't need at all because it's junk as previously described) but it also acts as a "stretchy" substitute for the flaccid original Apple material. Win!! Given the low cost, this is a great if not perfect solution to a problem Apple should never have saddled on people who spent AirPod Max money on one of their products

This is a very good solution to my AirPods Max saggy head band problem. It fits well and makes the headphones a lot more comfortable for long periods of use. My only complaint is they are made of silicone which can feel cold, warm or sweaty depending on the conditions. I would be interested in a model that included a strip of removable material that can absorb sweat and moderate the ambient temperature and humidity conditions. A simple velcro attachment device and nice piece of material should do the trick..

I just slipped this cover onto my four-year-old Airpods Max headphones, and after ten minutes I couldn't stop myself from writing this review. I've loved my Airpods Max for everything they can do, and forgiven them for their flaws, especially feeling like a dragon is picking me up with its claws by the head when I put them on. This cover, incredibly, made such a significant difference in both the overall comfort of wearing the headphones despite their weight, as well as the clamping effect they have. They actually feel better than I remember them being OUT OF THE BOX four years ago, let alone now that the mesh band as started sagging. I was depressed when Apple failed yet again to give enough of a crap about the Max to really update them, but after trying the newest, top of the line Bose, Sony, and Sonos headphones, none of them could convince me to move off my Max, and I felt stuck. This ~$10 solution has given me everything I need to keep using my Max, I'm so glad I thought to look up third-party mods for my Max. I'm a huge sucker and I've convinced myself that the rumors about Apple waiting another year for the Max 2 is because they are working up some crazy new tech, like tempered glass earcups or something, that will change the game and make the five year wait worth it. Don't worry, I know the Kool-Aid I'm drinking is Apple-flavored LOL. If you're anything like me and love how your Max sound, look, and integrate into your Apple world, but you are fed up with the weight/clamping, absolutely try this cover, it's crazy not to and you'll be glad you don't have to dish out ~$400 to try and recreate what your Max do with another brand you don't like as much. Save that money and put it towards what will likely be the $1,200 Airpods Max 2 they don't announce until after they've released iPhones they implant directly into our eyes, Futurama-style (both of which I will absolutely buy immediately). ;-)

I enjoy my AirPods Max, but after using it for some time, the mesh along the headband has unfortunately started to loosen. This has resulted in discomfort on my head from the hard metal bands and pain from prolonged wearing. So, I decided to look for some solutions and have stumbled across this product. This is a silicone cover that goes under the headband of the AirPods Max and attaches to the metal bands. I appreciate the minimal profile of this product. There is little added bulk and is lightweight. The best thing about this product is how much it improves wearability comfort. Instead of having the metal bands dig into my head, the silicone rests on my head instead, which addresses the discomfort I had quite effectively. I can happily wear my AirPods Max for much longer now. If you are an AirPods Max user and dealing with discomfort from the headband, this product does very well to address the issue. I recommend this product.

My 1st generation APM w/ Lighting had the mesh sag on the headband. Coupled with a desire to have a USB-C connection, I purchased the APM w/ USB-C and wanted to protect the headband from sagging, so I learned about this product from a Shorts video on Youtube. Although the price is below $10, I'm sure the markup on these are pretty substantial. The product fits the headband well, and I haven't encountered any noticeable impact on the "fit" or "comfort" of my new APMs. I reckon to say this is a must have if you wish to prevent the original mesh from getting dirty and from sagging.

So I purchased this as a set, the muff covers / head banding / case cover for the head phones. The muff covers are soft & well fitting. However, the head banding (rubber) and the muff "colors" do not match the color of the Apple Airpods Max. I should have purchased it from the same manufacturerd as a whole unit of 3. The muff covers match the Apple Airpods Max more closely while the banding cover - well is totally off from matching the Apple Airpods Max. Ugh!
