It was absolutely adorable, and it kept her from licking or chewing her incision site. My sweet boy had a few surgeries and need to wear a cone for an extended period of time. He's got short legs and regular cones were hard for him to walk around or go outside. This was the perfect size for him to be able to relax with a comfy pillow, drink out of his bowl and walk around the house without injuring us or walking into things. It's fabric is really nice and soft and easy to clean. it's simple to blow up as well. The Velcro strap holds it in place well and is adjustable for various neck sizes. My poor little guy had a foxtail stuck under his skin that caused an abscess. The abscess popped and was bleeding. I took him in, and they had to sedate him to find and remove the foxtail. He had a bandage on for a couple days, but after the bandage fell off, I needed a cone of some sort to prevent him from licking his front paw. I love the sunflower design. It was easy to inflate (no pump needed - I used my mouth). Some reviews mentioned that it deflated a bit, which it did, but it wasn’t an issue. It still worked even slightly deflated. And like I mentioned, it’s easy to inflate. I liked that he could use it as a pillow. It seemed much more comfortable than the standard cone the vets office usually provides. I also liked that it didn’t come out in front of his face, blocking his vision. He did have a hard time fitting in his little corners he likes, because it sticks out to the side (but that was to be expected). I felt bad for him, but know it was better than the alternatives (the other “standard” cone, or no cone). I measured his neck, bought the corresponding size, and it fit perfectly. He’s 18lbs, and we got the one for neck 11.8”-16.1” (I believe it was a medium). It was a little loose, and he was able to escape it a couple times, but I still think it was a 5/5. I don’t think he was ever trying to escape it, it just happened. For example, when he tried to jump on the couch. I would repurchase, and recommend ... show more

I think this is a pretty quality item, honestly. The material is nice, it stays inflated, and the velcro is strong. It's just unfortunate that our Rottweiler could still access his incision site (neuter) if he really tried. But, otherwise, he seemed comfortable and it was nice that he could still eat and drink. It also made for a nice "pillow." I'd buy it again if my pup wasn't so long and flexible. ... show more

So amazing! Way better than regular cones! I got an xl for my dog and while he doesn’t love it, it’s easier for him to get around in and it seems more comfortable. Definitely worth it! P.s. order the used one! Cheaper and just as good!

The product was exactly as described. It worked well at keeping my pup from licking his stitches. My guy has a skinny head, so he could easily pull his head out of the donut. However, he is a pleaser, so he would wait for me to put it back on him. This may not have worked for my more stubborn dog. However, I could see a way of tying it to his collar. Overall, I was very happy with the product as it was way more comfortable than the traditional cone of shame. The fabric and velcro were high quality. The tube kept the air in it and, despite serious abuse, did not pop! Great value! ... show more

Looks great and functions well. However it is difficult to keep on my dog. He was able to slip it off relatively quickly. Needs to be used in conjunction with a harness if you can.

I have a 7 month old GSD that just had her spay op. This donut has worked so much better than the awkward e-collar cones. She has not tried to chew or bite at it so it has held up nicely. It's easy to get on and her collar keeps it in place. The velcro is strong and it seems as durable as can be expected with something inflatable. I give 4 stars because the inflatable seems to leak down a little over time but not enough that she is able to remove it. I used the traditional e-collar cone with my older GSD and that was a nightmare. I was pleased that this donut has made this a more tolerable experience. She can eat and drink while wearing it with no problem. She wears it overnight when I can't be as diligent watching her. She uses it as a pillow when she sleeps. It's cute and works really well for keeping her from her incision. Her neck measurement fell between sizes so I went with the larger size to ensure I could inflate the donut to the max.
