  • It is supposed to work with iPad 2, but I can not get to connect to the iDisk Player app
I have not decided yet, but I may return it if I can not figure out how to get it to connect to my iPad 2. I would love to transfer wedding photos from my iPad 2 to the iDiskk Photo Drive. I also thought that it was an SSD external drive, but seems to be an HDD external drive.

  • I recommend it!!!!!
No problems at all, it worked exactly as directions stated. Don't forget to charge it "as I did", but I was lucky it was already 3/4 charged. Now I can delete all these pictures and videos that are bogging down my phone! 20,216 to be exact! My plan is to buy an even larger Hard Drive to use as the final destination for all of my iPhone pictures as a safety backup to the iDisk. ... show more

  • Really Easy to Use and So Much Storage
So I wasn’t quite sure how this was going to work but it ended up being really simple. I plugged the adapter cord in and plugged it in the power outlet. I then took the computer cord and plugged it to the computer, this was to reformat the device (there is instructions in the manual) but it turned out it was already good to go. So since I bought this to solely backup my pictures on my iPhone I took out the cable for the iPhone and plugged it to my phone. I was prompted to download the app, Photo Bank. I looked for this app before hand and wasn’t able to find it so I was happy when it prompted me to download the app upon plugging my phone to the storage device. One the app was downloaded I could easily go in my device through the app and choose what I wanted to save and save it. I was able to make folders on the storage device to easily organize my pictures and videos. It is actually very simple to use. The instructions helped some but what helped me the most was the prompts thee are r appeared after plugging my phone in. Before using this device I was saving photo to a free Photobucket account which I had filled up and no longer had any free space. I was able to take everything I had saved to Photobucket online and put it into this storage device. And I still have TONS of space left on it. I plan on backing up all my husbands photos and videos too in the near future. Oh, I was also able to save all my telephone contacts on the storage device too, which is a pretty neat feature. I would 100% recommend this device. It’s is 100% easier than plugging your phone to your computer and starting up iTunes and saving your pictures to your computer then sending them to a storage device...which is tedious. This is super easy and super fast. ... show more

  • Not a good product
At first the product ran great. I downloaded, gifs, document, videos and photos. When I tried to use some gifs or videos they were still and came up as jpg. After about 6 months, it keeps stopping and you have to keep opening it to save your videos, gifs docs and photos. Waste of money!

  • Kill 2 birds with one stone (auto backup and/or delete after backup)
The media could not be loaded. With only 64 GB, storage space is quickly becoming a scarce resource on my wife's iPhone. The frequency she gets the out of space notification is like the number of times she gets spam calls. Then she has to make decisions what to keep and what to delete. The most frustrating for me is she bugs me all the time asking for my opinion what to keep and what to delete. When I say delete, then she asks "are you sure?'. Unnecessary debates follow after that. This external hard drive does fill in the gap. It has one of the highest storage available out there that I was able to find. It is very easy to use and set up. Download the app and check the box for automatic backup. The next time I connect the Iphone to the this external hard drive, the pictures and videos on the iphone get backed up automatically. There is also an option that enables auto delete the pictures and videos that have been copied to the external hard drive. This automatic set of 2 processes (backup and delete after backup) is like to kill 2 birds with one stone. ... show more

  • DO Buy for iPad external storage
I really like this external hard drive from its looks to its ease of use. The color is silver, not white. I like how it comes with four cables and a charging cube. I had my iPad backed up in about 2 minutes. There is no need to use the iDiskk apps as of now, everything works in the Apple files app. I’m writing this review after the first day of use so will update my review if I think anything is less than five stars in the long term. Thanks for reading! I hope you get the pleasure of owning one of these great pieces of gear! Oh and I’m using this with an iPad Air 4 ... show more

  • Yard Sale $1
Worked fine the first time I plugged it into my XR. Second time and each additional try, iPhone didn’t recognize it. Waste of money I didn’t have. Couldn’t return it because my pictures and videos were on it. iCloud is a joke. If you erase it from your phone, it erases it from the cloud. Not sure what the point is then. To free up space, they put a smaller size on your phone so opening something took awhile. I didn’t like that. More money wasted there. I then discovered Amazon has an app that backs up all your photos and videos (for free if you have Prime). Have to pay for extra video storage if you have a lot of videos, like me. Totally worth EVERY PENNY! Doesn’t even cost much for extra storage, small yearly fee. You can access your photos and video from anywhere. You just have to remember to open the app when you go to sleep. I live in the country and our WiFi is the worst so I still have 500 videos to go, that’s the only bad thing. I can’t do it while I’m streaming a movie or it buffers, yeah WiFi is THAT bad. So, anyone want to buy a $130 paper weight? Seriously, I thought I was smarter than the people that reviewed the smaller version of this. I wasn’t. It shows up once but then doesn’t let you copy anything else over. I actually lost pictures and videos that I erased because I trusted they were in this hunk of junk. I assume (yeah, I know) I will be able to plug this up to my computer and transfer them off :D MAYBE it will work as an external hard drive for my computer which I completely do not need. I have 3 I’m not using. It could make a nice gift as an external drive if it works like that. Idfk. It’s junk! Yard sale $1. ... show more

  • Poorly made
The diskk is good but it’s cheaply built ☹️ $135? C’mon man that’s a lot for something that’s made out of cheap plastic. I’ll give it a 2 out of 5 for build quality. Not the best but it does quite the storage so I’m good on that but the price is too high! Maybe if it were to be i don’t know $80? For it would’ve been more reasonable for it. ... show more
