My husband puts up a ton of lights on our house every year for the holidays. He's slowly been replacing our warm white with cool white lights. I ordered one 66 foot string of these to try out and they look good enough that I ordered two more. They hang on the upper and lower rooflines in my picture. I suppose they don't REALLY look like icicles because they're just dots, not the long shapes. However, one of my neighbors does have the icicle-shaped light and I like the look of ours better. The lights are bright, and the cool white leans blue, rather than yellow like the warm white. As I mentioned, we have a LOT of lights and these were a good price compared to others currently available. My husband likes that you can change the settings. He has a setup with music synced to the lights, so these will work well for that. ... show more

    • One line went dead 10 minutes after being turned on

I bought two strings of these icicle lights. I plugged each in before installing them along the roof edge of my house. They lit up just fine, and I also tested the various patterns of flashing, fading or constant on, all of which worked great. However, after two hours work installing them, when I turned everything on, one of these strings only stayed lighted about10 minutes before simply going off. It has since become apparent that there is some kind of short / overheating going on inside the plug end, and there's no way to open that device to try to repair it. So now the light string all along my house roof is dead while the one installed along the garage roof are working, creating a very lopsided look to the display. I just can't handle getting back up on the roof again to remove the non-working string down or to replace it, so it all leaves me dissatisfied and disappointed. And I wasted my money on them. So, I don't recommend these to anyone since the flaws in the product weren't at all apparent until shortly after full installment. ... show more
