We surprised our Great Dane, Thor, with this for Christmas and his reaction was priceless! He walked right in (with plenty of headroom!), turned around, and settled in with a contented sigh. The sheer size and spaciousness of this house are a game-changer for large breed owners. It's built like an absolute tank – incredibly sturdy and robust. We live in Colorado where winters are brutal, and it's a huge relief knowing he has his own well-insulated, weather-proof sanctuary to retreat to. We absolutely love this dog house! Our Labrador, Duke, spends a lot of time in the yard, and we were always worried about him during chilly nights. This insulated wooden house is a game-changer. The quality is outstanding – it's sturdy, well-built, and looks great in our backyard. You can tell it's made with care. The best part? Now we have total peace of mind knowing Duke is warm, dry, and protected from the elements. He took to it immediately and we often find him napping cozily inside. I bought one of these for my large male German Shepherd 2 months ago. It took him 2 or 3 days to get used to it, but then he wanted to be in it and slept outside in it in freezing temperatures for a month. Then his 85 lb sister snuck into it and, bit by bit, took it over. Had to order him a new one. Very impressed with the quality of design and workmanship and attention to details. Warm and air tight. I was hesitant about the assembly, but it was a breeze! Everything was clearly labeled, the instructions were straightforward, and I had it built in under an hour with just a basic screwdriver. The build quality is seriously impressive – very solid and heavy, no flimsy parts. The insulation is thick, and the raised floor is a genius feature to keep the cold and moisture out. My German Shepherd, Max, is obsessed with his new "den." It's clear he feels safe and comfortable in there. I had never built anything like this but this dog house was easy to build thanks to the clear instructions. Plenty of room for my Doberman to lay and sleep. My giant German Shepherd, Thor, finally has the palace he deserves! This dog house is absolutely massive and built like a tank. The wood is incredibly thick and solid, not flimsy at all. You can tell the insulation is top-notch because even on chilly nights, Thor chooses to sleep in there instead of begging to come inside.
