Year of manufacture. 1996) - Oil and service intervals reset - LWS (steering angle sensor) calibration - EPB (electric parking brake) open and close while maintaining the brake system. Read and clear EPB system error codes. There are probably arguments regarding why I did not give this product a 1 rating - or lower if possible. Let me explain. I purchased this scan tool in March of 2023. The menus do not let you select cars beyond model year 2017. They advertise free updates, which I did, but it still does not support cars beyond model year 2017. I contacted technical support no less than 5 times (1 to 2 weeks between each contact). After 2 & 1/2 months I finally received a response that this scan tool does not support anything beyond 2017. It was a very brief response with no explanation nor alternative. This gives their technical support a 0 out of 5 rating. Despite the model year problem, this unit works on both of my Audi's - models years 2013 and 2018 to reset mileage count down after oil change, update the battery management upon replacing the battery and release the brakes for a brake job. This releases you from paying Audi their rates for these jobs which more than pays for this scan tool. ICarSoft could do a better job of letting customers know this unit does not fully support cars beyond 2017 before they purchase the unit. ... show more

    • Works for my 2014 audi A6 2.0t
2014 audi a6 I bought this to get rid of the "major service" (not the oil service) icon on my car after completing what the owners manual says to do at 50,000 miles. It worked brilliantly. Also ran a quick system scan and it ran diagnostics on 65 systems. During the run my self leveling headlights went full down, then back up. Seems to me this thing does what it says it will. I will definitely get use out of this when it is time to do my brakes. It will be handy for me because i do all my own maintenance. (I love Audi but cant afford shop prices) Can't give it 5 stars because I just got it in the mail an hour ago. Lol ... show more

If you want to know your faults and control and clear service lights this is for you, if you actually need comprehensive usable live data, no enough to this unit. Good to have around but not for the price.

Extremely easy to use. A must have tool for diagnostic for Volkswagen. We've used it on all three of our vehicles; 2001 VW Passat Wagon, 2006 VW Jetta Sedan, 2015 VW Jetta TDI Sedan from troubleshooting electrical, clearing codes to determine if they are valid or not, etc... Highly recommended!

I needed a way to read the difference system on a VW. With your typical OBDII reader it only look at the engine. I was having problem with anti-lock brakes. This reader can do it.
