I love this brand of pencils. I started using them when i bought the first set of 72 colors. I loved them so much that I decided to buy this bigger 120 set with the zipper case. They blend like butter and in my opinion are comparable to prismacolor in the way they lay down their color. They're highly pigmented and blend smoothly if you apply in layers as colored pencils should be applied. The color selection is great in this set with plenty of tones & shades in each color family range. The case is great quality and zips up nicely. Keeps everything together and protected. The sketch book and coloring book are a nice bonus, but I can't say enough good things about these colored pencils! These are My favorite brand to use next to my prismacolor pencils and I've been using those for years, so I know a little about colored pencils and quality. I often use these in combination with my prismacolor pencils to broaden my color range a little, and they even blend well with those (a lot of brands won't blend with prismacolor at all). I just love them so much!! The fact that I paid less than $30 for this set of 120 colors makes me super happy about my purchase and only wish they sold their colors individually so I dont have to buy a whole set when one or two colors are used up. Still worth the price all the way! I highly recommend this brand and will be watching to see if they come out with a bigger set because I'll definitely want to get those too! If you're looking for an excellent, affordable, high quality set of colored pencils, this one is definitely the way to go! As for the reviewers complaining of breakage, I have no problems sharpening these in a cheap manual sharpener or in my battery powered sharpener. It's all about how you sharpen them and how you treat your pencils. If you drop them and break the core, they'll continue to break when sharpened, so be gentle and you won't have that problem. Any experienced colored pencil user knows this.

I bought this pack for my elderly mother and picked up several of the adult coloring books to get her started. She's loving her new hobby. They seem to be a good smooth coloring pencil and there are many colors to choose from, although as a graphic designer myself, I personally noticed some areas of the color spectrum had more selections than others. But she is perfectly happy with it. I like the folded printout paper where you fill in the indexed boxes with the pencil color by name and # for reference instead of searching through the whole pencil set for what you want. The black zippered storage case looks nice and neat, but I do wish the pencils stayed more securely in the elastic holders, because they can all slide out when you unfold it if you aren't careful. We keep only a smaller selection of colors at a time in a box instead because of the possibility of them falling out while opened out on her bed. On a table, laid flat it would be fine I'm sure.

Wonderful array of colors! Gave it to my daughter for Christmas and the zipper didn't even last 2 months from intermittent usage so quality is not the best!

I use these pencils for my adult color books and am so pleased with the pigment and how smooth the tips are. Nice case with it. I travel with this and am able to pull this out and begin coloring activities. Colored pencils are smooth and not gritty. A few of the pencils were received with broken tips, but just gave them a quick sharpening and that was fine. Unfortunately, item does not come with a sharpener so just make sure to have a sharpener with you - especially when you travel. Also, too bad there was not a side zipper pocket or another compartment to store items such as erasers, sharpeners or blenders. Other than that, I do recommend this product and it is great for the price.

Bought 2 of these for my teen granddaughters along with an extra adult colorbook for each one. They are artistic and these fine pencils should get them through their high-school years and beyond. I wouldn't mind having a set of these myself!
