I've tried a lot of mechanical pencils and these are my favorite so far. The part of the pen that you hold is very comfortable. The button where you advance the lead is very convenient near where you're holding the pen. The eraser is very long. It will last a long time. The lead is very smooth and dark. And, for $10.99, you get so much - 6 pencils and enough lead and erasers to last you a very long time. One tip for new users (that I didn't know) - you don't load the new lead from the top (where the eraser is. Instead, you pull the top half of the pencil off and then load the lead there. I think these are really nice pencils. The pencil tip is surrounded by a little metal part which helps prevent breakage. Eraser is on top. Comes with replacement leads and erasers.

Love the Pentel brand. Great pencils with refill erasers & leads. Need multipack because I keep losing them. Only took off a star because the packaging is a nightmare. Even with sharp scissors, had to fight to get the pieces out. Cost more, but worth the price.
