It requires a CR2450 BATTERY, which is NOT INCLUDED. Other than that, it is a nice button, that can be used for many things not just a panic button. It has an app you can use to set it up, and it uses zigbee. It won't work out of the box, unless you have a zigbee hub, or equivalent. If you are setting up your home automation with zigbee, this can definitely work for you. ... show more

I was impressed with the build quality of this button. I’ve used several Zigbee buttons over the years and most are cheap pieces of hardware. However, that was the only positive thing about this device. While this button can be paired with other Zigbee hubs (I tried it on SmartThings and on Hubitat), it does not work with any of them. It turns out that many Tuya devices are using non-standard Zigbee commands. This will apparently only work with a Tuya Zigbee hub. (And for those trying anyway: to pair this, you must press the included pointer into the small hole in the back under the cover. It wasn’t completely clear from the manual. See picture). With no battery included and non-standard Zigbee, this is useless unless you already have a Tuya Zigbee hub. Other Zigbee hubs are not supported. ... show more
