Wanted to start making videos and my headset mic wasn’t cutting it. This mic seemed like a good cross between functionality and affordability so I gave it a try. It sounds so much better, but like every mic you’re going to want a cover or pop filter for it. Kind of irritating it doesn’t come with one but minor nitpick. Set up is easy, just take out of the box and hook up to the PC via USB. Had no problem with the pc recognizing it. One weird thing is that it unmutes itself when the computer goes to sleep. I’m not sure why. Haven’t been able to figure that out so I just unplug it when I’m done. Minor thing and could be some weird settings on my computer but still annoying. The mic has a red light when it’s on though so it’s easy to see when it’s active. The quality of sound is really good, it picks up sound so well I had to put a filter on to keep out the AC noise. It’s not that hyper clear super close up warm sound you get with high end mics, but this is perfectly fine quality for most hobbyists, amateurs, or even if you’re just looking for something better than your gaming headset mic. Overall I’d say well worth the price. It’s exactly what I needed.

My sound quality really good only downside is that it picks up a lot of noises you can kinda nog fully but hear my fan not bad tho but the downside is if I like tap my desk you can hear it from the mic my friend said sound like I’m tapping the mic but I love it easy to setup cord is a great length maybe around 5-6ft idk per say but really well color options only black and white so I went for white voice control is well depends on your system it also sounds pretty crisp even when I whisper or talk low from 3 feet away but that’s also an issue it pick up sounds easily it’s overly sensitive my fan which is 10ft away at low can be heard I slide my hand softly on the desk it can be heard easily

great quality for the price, and very sturdy. the cord is just a usb to usb-c, so thankfully that's easy to replace if needed. the touch to mute is so much more convenient than i expected, i don't have to switch tabs and mute in my programs when i can just touch the button. plus it helps me guarantee i'm not heard on voice chat games when i don't wanna be (roblox used to bug and unmute me when i'd select mute, so i get paranoid lol). only issue is that, if you just use the stand it comes with, it picks up on every single time you touch your desk. whether you're typing, setting something down, or just put your hand there, you'll hear a bassy thud. the person who recommended this to me did buy a separate stand for it, and that resolved the issue for him!

I was using my headset's built-in microphone for a while, and the difference after upgrading to the HyperX SoloCast is night and day. This microphone has been a tremendous addition to my setup. The sound quality is fantastic. It's so much clearer and richer than what a standard headset mic can provide. The fact that it supports up to 24-bit 96 kHz is a bit of overkill for voice chat, but it's great to know the quality is there, and it definitely makes a difference. My friends immediately noticed how much better I sound on Discord and in-game voice chat. For anyone who wants to stop sounding like they're talking through a tin can and make a real improvement to their audio quality without breaking the bank, the HyperX SoloCast is an excellent choice. It's a simple, plug-and-play solution that delivers professional-sounding results.

Received a few compliments on the sound quality of this mic. I haven't recorded myself to hear how it sounds, but those that I voice chat with have mentioned it sounds pretty good.
