I bought this little CB radio for a road trip to Florida. you always hear how truckers know whats going on, well let me tell you they do. I did a non permanent install, so I got a power plug from the local parts store and power it through the cigarette lighter. I also got a magnetic antenna from LUITON and stuck that on the roof. twisting the wires together to get power is the longest part of the install. You change channels with the up and down button on the mic. there is a ASQ button to filter out noise and only let strong channels come through. Indiciator is easily readily. Has a quick switch to go to channel 9 and 19. speaker is plenty loud to hear but if needed you can hookup an external speaker. Everything you need is in the box, from extra fuse to a microphone holder. For the money you cant go wrong. ... show more

I’m a trucker and this little radio works great! Loud and clear and the range is as good as any radio I’ve owned. Simple to install and easy to use. What a bargain! Highly recommend!

    • No way of knowing what's in the box.
It came in a box that identified it as a " High Quality AM/FM CB Radio". The included manual identifies it as a EU/UK CB radio, and states that the AM/FM switch will toggle you between EU and UK bands that are FM only. The AM/FM switch doesn't do anything however. The display only discloses a channel number. No frequency is provided or mode (AM or FM) so there is no way of knowing what country this radio has been configured for. It states that it can be configured for multiple countries by switching to channel 9 and then turning the power on, but this does nothing but turn the radio on to channel "9", so you can't find out what country you have been configured for using this method. When attempting to communicate to another USA CB radio on corresponding channels, no signal is received or sent between them. The radio does receive short wave broadcasts on some channels, and HAM radio traffic on others, so it would appear to be configured for something other than USA or EU CB (which use the same frequencies). ... show more

I am really impressed with this little radio. I obviously don't know how I sound to others but they sound awesome to me. the furthest conversation I have had was about 6 miles apart. I do have a large and professionally tuned antenna! TUNE YOUR ANTENNA and you wont have an issue with this little box. ... show more

    • Good product for the money
Fine little CB. Not the loudest. Easy to use and dial in. The hard part is finding a good antenna. I had decent results with a magnetic one and bad results with a 2' fiberglass one. May be time to get an sqr meter to tune it up the right way.

Opened up looked good separated parts no cigarette plug the box and booklet that comes with it says put on channel 9and turn back on for expansion tried it many times didn’t work mis represented
