I've suffered from low and mid back pain for 25 years, and was recently diagnosed with multiple cervical herniations in the low neck that affect my upper back as well. I've been thinking about getting a massager like this for years, but didn't think they would work as well as the medical ones used on me in professional chiropractic and orthopedic care. But when I recently switched doctors, I asked about using this as a treatment between sessions, and he enthusiastically endorsed it. Specifically, he told me to get the Hypervolt, because they basically invented the technology, and that chiropractors regularly choose them over Theraguns because they adjust to pressure, not just vibrate. I can't use it as well as he can, because he's extraordinarily talented, and knows every muscle of the body and how they all work together, but between sessions, I find that this goes a huge distance to relieving muscle ache and pain, as well as helping to loosen muscles and tendons that are pulling my neck and back out of proper alignment (due to all the bad habits we all have - sitting too much, staring at screens too long, looking down at cellphones, watching movies on the couch, etc.) Yes, it's a bit expensive, but it's well, well worth it. Don't get the most expensive one, you don't need it. Just get this one. You won't even use it much on its highest setting. The point is to relax your muscles, not to bludgeon them into submission (which will only make things worse.) Five stars.

I bought this for my husband as a gift about a year ago. He works as a mail carrier which is really taxing on him physically and this massage gun does wonders for cramps and muscle stiffness. The pressure sensors keep the massage heads from being too rough and the battery life is long. (Just don’t lose the charger because replacements don’t work.) all in all, it is expensive but honestly I’d buy it again. In fact, we bought one as a gift for my in-laws last Christmas.

My chiropractor uses this on his patients. I asked where I could get one. It is AMAZING. A little hard to get it working the first time - user error - but it is wonderful. You can give yourself a quick massage. Really works out the kinks!

Worked perfectly at first but after just a couple months, the device wouldn’t hold a charge for more than a few minutes and then suddenly just stopped percussing after a few seconds each time I turned it on, even with any amount of charge whatsoever. Since I was past my return window with Amazon, they wouldn't do anything, but the seller reached out and offered a full refund. It's great they pay attention to reviews and complaints and make things right.

In need of a jackhammer for household demolition? Look no further! I’m serious! In need of a massage gun that will help your muscles recover faster after workouts? I suggest you keep looking. I purchased the Hypervolt 2 approximately three years ago and I have only used it a few times. Had I known back then that massage guns were returnable, I would have sent this back immediately. It does not glide smoothly or quietly at all. It honestly feels like someone is hitting you with a hammer, and not in a good way.

All of the attachments, the app, and the clever battery life indicator make this a great buy. It's a bit loud but nothing unbearable, and the size is just right for reaching everywhere you need to without straining yourself. Has quickly become an everyday item for me, can't recommend highly enough.

I ordered this product on March 8, received it on March 14. I followed the instructions carefully and plugged it in to charge fully late in the day after I received it, but when I checked it the following morning (after more than 10 hours charging), the LED in the handle was still blinking red. I checked the power outlet and confirmed it was live, then switched the device to another live power outlet and left it to charge for the rest of the day. When I checked it again approximately 8 hours later, the LED was still flashing red and the device would not turn on -- so clearly the battery would not take a charge. I called Amazon customer service, who connected me to the seller via the Amazon website. After one exchange of messages, I did receive a pre-paid Federal Express return label, but the seller will not ship a replacement until after they receive my return. This will delay my receiving the device I paid a substantial amount of money for (nearly $300 US) even further. Why can't you ship the replacement as soon as I deposit the device with FedEx? You can check and see when the label is scanned, right? Why make me wait so much longer given that you sold me a defective product? UPDATE: With some help from an Amazon customer service representative (based in Cairo, Egypt, of all places), I was able to exchange the product and received a new replacement that works as advertised. Thanks for your help! After a couple of days, I am pleased to say that it is helping me resolve some chronic Achilles soreness by working through the muscles of my posterior chain in a way that foam rolling simply can't manage.

You know when you get top quality - this is it. If you've tried ANY similar percussion-massagers, then you know they all sound and feel like a cheap jig-saw. Not this one. The Hyperice is SO smooth... almost fluid... and amazingly quiet. We call ours a "thumper-bumper" or "the Pain Eraser" and we use it literally every night, and we have for YEARS. My son bought the v2 model which is even better, but any true Hypervolt / Hyperice is a great product, highly recommended, and worth the money.
