Okay, so if you have weird feet, these will fit you. I have always had trouble finding shoes, especially running shoes that will fit my feet. I have very small feet, very high arches, a wide ball area, a very round heel and a high top curve. I have enormous amount of foot pain from plantar fasciitis, and what they think may be arthritis or fibromyalgia. These shoes are perfect. They cup my feet just the right way, take away almost all of my pain while exercising as they are supportive in all the right places, and are very comfy with the cushion they have. The bounce back from when my feet hit the pavement is nice on my bad knees, and helps me get into a rhythm quickly. As a 26 year old trying to get into exercising/health and fitness, these are a great stepping stone for me. They actually make me want to go out and experience runs. The purple color is also very similar to what is shown in the picture. It's really pretty, and is very different than my overall black aesthetic I normally have.     • Fairly comfortable but only with added inserts
Bought these because I've been told Asics runs more on the narrow side which I need. Wanted to replace my worn New Balance 990 which have been absolutely perfect in fit and comfort. But at $150+ my senior citizen budget wouldn't allow purchase of the New Balance. I walk several miles most days, and go camping/hiking so need a decent pair of shoes ... I've searched many, many styles always looking for narrow in half-size and not many manufacturers offer narrows or if they do, they're beyond my budget. Was able to buy these Asics for very reasonable price and they're pretty nice, although they're a 7.5 medium. They're lightweight, have attractive design in nice subtle coloring. As others have mentioned, they shoe laces work but are too thin ... a minor gripe. They are still too wide for my foot (which was expected) but not as wide as other shoes that I've tried. I compensated for that by using foam full inserts. Full sole inserts are needed not only to help fit my narrow foot better but the extra foam is absolutely needed because IMHO these Asics as purchased don't have enough sole padding.,,sole felt a bit thin without full inserts. I also use plantar fasciitis inserts which fit fine in these shoes. Have been walking in them for over a month and they're quite comfortable. Not as good as the NB 990 but nowhere near that price either. ... show more

    • Comfort with every step
I tried them on when i got them. I love them. They fit. I got my normal size and they were neither too big or too small. The perfect amount of cushioning. I could see these lasting more than a few weeks unlike my more recent shoes. Heck the memory foam of my new balances barely lasted a day and that was only cause i had no other choice. I will never get memory foam again. This is my 4th pair of shoes in a month and i could see these lasting. Mind you the paces i put the others through many have had something to do with it too. I work outside for 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. I need something that is both comfortable on concrete and will last. The first pair were too big even though i got a 10. The second pair, were ok but i had already worn a hole in the sole by week 2. Then i tried the new balance and made the mistake of missing the portion of the description that said memory foam. That is my second pair like that and i hated both of them. Neither lasted more than a day. I would rather wear the holey shoes then those, so i wore them till these came in. The shoes would have probably been ok in normal circumstances. But didn’t work for my work environment. Although the first two were same brand but different style and one of them did say slip resistant work shoes. Maybe it just didn’t mean concrete environment. I hope these shoes work out great. I am tired of playing return the product so that i can try something different. I think the reason i was so ready to try those was because work requires black shoes. And the first two were all black and these are black with some grey because one of my coworkers said they barely notice the shoes and someone else suggested cross trainers for work. So i am hopeful these will stand the test of time. ... show more

I worked in a major hospital walking 6-8 miles nightly in a 12 hour shift. These shoes are the only one that held up while still being comfy! The gel is amazing. Very durable shoes with excellent value for money. I got them on sale for like 45 bucks I believe. Excellent performance and lasted well over a year before my big toe started rubbing a hole in the top of the shoe ( I have this issue with every tennis shoe). Size was very accurate. Color is vibrant. I have only bought ASICS since getting these because they worked that well. Would 1000% buy again and recommend. ... show more
