The color goes well with our kitchen. We have 2 colors of green, and this color clock accents both well. It has your standard AA battery type clock mechanism, which is good if you ever had to replace it. Any standard clock assembly would work. The face of the clock is on a VERY thin piece of Formica. On the other side is a fake woodgrain finish. No instructions came with my clock, but it's pretty straight forward. It comes with 2 (two) mounting options (see pics attached). I chose to use the "star" shaped mount. It has 4 (four) very tiny brad nails. I had to hold them with needle nosed pliers because the are short, and trying to hold with your fingers while you nail them in will ruin your day, and make you use some bad words after hitting your thumb a few times. Trust me, use pliers. The second mount is a peel-and-stick method. The actual part the clock hangs on is better and made of metal and sticks out a bit further. For me, the clock hooked more securely, but my wife didn't want the sticker type on her newly painted walls, so there's that. With that; you MUST make sure the clock is securely attached to the mount. My clock fell 2 times after I was confident and smug in my install. Only to leave the room, and here a loud noise, which was the clock hitting the floor. Luckily, it didn't harm the clock in any way, so it has that going for it. If you see the pics I've attached, if you don't get the clock hanging EXACTLY correct, it leans against the wall on one side, and sticks out over an inch on the other. After beating the 4 nails as far as I could into the wall, and placing the clock over the mounting stub 3-4 times. I nearly hung on the clock full body weight and again am smug in my installation abilities. So far, 15 minutes later, no noise, no wife yelling "the clock is down". Good price for the look. May not be for everyone, especially if you hold your pinky out while enjoying an afternoon tea. But it works for us, for now. Probably replace it down the road. ... show more

Exactly what I wanted. I have a small office and needed it to be no bigger than 10", this fits exactly in the space. So far it has been accurate and has keeps time. This one has no ticking noise. It's been a great value!
