We ordered this heater in December for our outdoor patio area, then discovered it was a little too tall for the patio roof, so it was moved by the BBQ. This is helpful because we like to BBQ all year long, especially in the winter months. Good heater for small patio area. I say this because we have a fairly large patio area as we live on the water and got this for cool evenings when my parents are visiting. It heats up the area you’re sitting in close by, but not the whole area itself. Great for standing by it to warm up as well. Was not easy to put together, as it has some difficult parts and some fittings were not easy, but after a little pushing it all came together. Considering ordering a couple more for the area as well. Great product! Easy to assemble with the directions provided. They came from Amazon 2 days early, and I assembled them and used them right away. I enclosed part my outdoor kitchen and the ceilings are high so I didn’t have very high expectations of how well they would do. So on the 25-35 degree nights these 2 units keep my 200 square feet of enclosed area around 50 depending on how windy it gets. Only 2 little things that I noted- each unit, I was short washers for the top where the wing-nuts go. Directions showed them, but they were not in the pack, (so I bought them for a dollar at hardware store) and propane run time.. 20lb cylinder (bbq size) on high lasts about 4 hours. I have 30lb cylinders that I use but tried a 20lb to see how long it would last. Even with that I would buy again- they were inexpensive, easy to build- quiet, exactly what I needed. ... show more

Very disappointed overall. First off, I live in a pretty isolated area of Montana. We can experience bitter cold, I did not expect this unit to be very effective on those days. But the area that it warms is very very small. If you sit next to it with the chair against the base your head will be warm and everything lower will get cold fast. Good instructions even though it was fairly a time consuming assembly. I can not recommend this unit. I think it will become a heater for the chicken coop. UPDATE, After having the seller contact me about my review, they made everything right and I would buy from them again should the need arise.
