I've had this tank for about 3 or 4 months. In that time the filter has been the reason for the death of my african dwarf frog and a honey guorami. I decided to upgraded and moved all my fish, still having it i decided to keep a betta in there, big mistake because the filter intake also got it. The design definitely needs work, the only positive thing I can say is that the lights are really nice.

The tank is nice, the all-in-one equipment set up is clean and contained. The heater is an insult. The industry recommendation for a heater in a 10 gallon aquarium is 50 watts. They only include a 10 watt heater that they know for a fact will be much too weak to heat or maintain the temperature. I can only assume the designers of such a nice tank knew they were shorting their customers to save on the cost of components. Very unethical.

This would be an easy 5 star of not for a bit weak of a light if you're planning a planted tank. Also the directions dont cover assembly of the disassembled pump and filter parts, almost common sense for how it should fit. Added a cheap sponge over the intake to protect nanos, but otherwise a plug and play tank.

Absolutely hate this tank, lift the lid now you can’t see in it due to the light. Filter tries to disconnect very easily and difficult to clean. Tank lid has already broken off. Only nice thing is having a lid, but once it breaks off it’s a nightmare. Disconnected inside upon arrival and the directions do not show how to put back together, you just have to hope you did it correct. Worse part is being blinded by the light built into the lid, and now unable to see in the tank. You can’t protect small fish from the filter it is a stupid shape and set up. Not convenient at all. Can’t say enough on its poor design. Now the tank filter just stopped working. Worse tank design ever.
