High efficient heat dissipation The fin design increases the heat dissipation area, 0.05in thick aluminum. Note: why the aluminum surface of our hygger fish tank light appears heat.Because there is a heat dissipation sticker between the lamp bead and the aluminum material, there is no gap, and the heat is directly radiated to the outside, and the heat will not be stored in the light. The residual heat will damage the lamp beads, light decay, and even damage the power supply after a long time. • Lose settings when power is off
Wattage: 36.0 Watts
This light is very bright for planted aquarium. I can see my plants photosynthesis while the light is on. I thought the timer is cool but not. If you wanna set as you want (DIY Mode), you need to spend a lot of time to figure out how it works. The most important issue is when the power is off, the light resets to its factory mode. It means you lose your settings and need to set it again. If anyone know how to fix this issue, plz let me know. Thanks ... show more

  • Great light with just OK controls.
Wattage: 36.0 Watts
Very bright, and I believe this is waterproof, which is a plus. I'm comparing this to the Aqueon competitor that I also own. If this had a remote it would a plus. The touch controls are horrible. Makes manual changes a real pain. It gets pretty hot when the white light is on in addition to the rgb but is very bright. Normally i dont want to run it that way so its an ok flaw that it gets hot. I thought leds were supposes to be cool and low power? It fits the aqueon 20 gal high perfectly. Id recommens the aqeuon though if it fits ur tank. In my case the aqueon light cor the 20 gal high is too short and not as bright as the hyyger. ... show more

  • Very nice light!
Wattage: 36.0 Watts
My 30 inch fluorescent light died for the second time. TWO fixtures in less than 3 years. Since they got rid of the replaceable ballast option they aren't very cost effective. So I decided to go with the LED this time. I LOVE the timer feature on this. Set it and forget it! It's as easy to set up as a digital alarm clock if you read the directions. Yesterday was the first time I had it on and my fish didn't seem to mind the extra brightness - which you can adjust down as you like. I love the Moonlight setting and my pleco seemed to really be a lot more active under the blue light. Before he was always hiding but last night he was swimming all over and exploring. The light was a bit shorter than the florescent one even though they both claimed to be 30 inches. I think because even though the old bulb was 30 inches, the housing was a couple inches more on each side. But with the adjustable ends on this light it didn't really matter, it sits nice and securely and there are no dark spots where the LED's won't reach. So I'm not too concerned about that. I do have this sitting over the glass portion of the hood (not ON it, the ends keep it lifted a bit from the glass) so doubt I'll have to worry about moisture but it claims to be waterproof so that's an extra comfort. Can't wait to get my new plants to see if they fare better. Great little light for the money! ... show more

  • Liked the first one so much I bought one for all my enclosures
Wattage: 36.0 Watts
I currently have five of these light bars, and I like them a whole lot. The built in timer is very easy to program, and for four of the five has kept the settings I entered. HOWEVER My latest purchase of the smallest model does NOT keep its settings. I don't know if it's defective or if that's just not a feature in the small one, but every time the power goes out (which is unfortunately fairly common) or it gets unplugged, I have to reprogram it entirely and it's barely worth the trouble. Another qualm I have against the product as a whole is the moonlight setting is not as configurable as I was led to believe. Setting it to, say, red light will only last for that given night. By the next night, it's back to blue. No matter what I do, the nighttime light is ALWAYS blue and ALWAYS at the brightest setting. If you want it to be something else, you must manually change it every. single. night. Otherwise, they're remarkably bright for the size and I have used them for fish, birds, and reptiles alike. Despite those gripes above, I do recommend this product and likely will be buying more as the need arises in the future. ... show more

  • Better than most other lights I've used.
Wattage: 36.0 Watts
I didn't appreciate how amazing this light was at the time. It wasn't until i purchased more expensive lights for different tank that I realized how important the features on this tank are. The ability to set the time and schedule on the display makes setup a breeze. The transition between day and night mode is hands down my favorite. The daylights with dim to the point of turning off then the moonlight mode will turn on. The moonlight mode is the perfect brightness. It looks absolutely stunning in the darkness. My other lights are hard to setup the times and schedule and the lights do not transition seamlessly between modes like this one does. I've already put my other lights for sale so i can get another one of these for other tank. It still blows my mind how inexpensive these lights are. There are plenty of lights on the market for twice the price and twice the headache. I had never heard of hygger before I bought their light but now I look specifically for hygger products because of how much I loved this light. ... show more

  • Had to return due to immediately overheating.
Wattage: 36.0 Watts
I really liked the light because of the multiple lighting programs. I plugged it in, set the time and sat down to read the instructions. In less than 30 minutes the top of the light was so hot I couldn’t touch it. When I unplugged it the plug was extremely hot also. I had to wait for it to cool down to repack to return. If it wasn’t a defective light then it gets much to hot to be safe. I have 3 other led aquarium lights similar to this one and none of them get hot. One is a hygger brand without the programmerable built into the hood. The other two are nicrew. ... show more

  • Almost perfect.
Wattage: 36.0 Watts
I really didn’t want to return these. They’re bright, the blue night light is deep and not cyan like some others, the chassis is sleek and low profile, but the programming was, impossible. I’ve ended up returning them and getting some Fluval 2.0 units which are app controlled via Bluetooth, and they’re exactly what I was looking for, from a programming point of view. Maybe the Fluval 3.0 are more like these, I don’t know yet, but I might try them. The 2.0 color range is limited and the blue night mode is rather cyan. Hygger, mage these with a Fluval-style app, and I’ll definitely get back to try them. Until then, the programming killed these for me. ... show more
