I am an acoustic musician and singer. I don't fool around with electronic instruments as a rule but I had to get this after hearing someone Jam with it one of my ukulele jams. It sounds so cool and you can breathe expression into it. The tones are quite good too. I understand you can expand the palate of sound by using midi software but I haven't done that yet. I am learning the fingering which is challenging but I know I will Master it in time. Very excited about this. It's small and portable and the sounds it makes are intoxicating and ethereal. Highly recommended for musical fun. It's a real instrument that is easy to use.

Wow! This EWI flute is great for its size and sound to es. Other small EWI's have the speaker in the back of the flute. Makes hearing not so good. Up front & on top so much better. Great tones 27 of them. Love the pitch bender on the back. Octives are easy to change up and down. Overall it's a perfect flute and I have now 5 models. Even pro models. You will love it. Could use a hook on the back for the neck strap. But I made one. But it! You will love it too.

I am a percussionist. I have never played a wind instrument. This instrument is fabulous. I learned the saxophone fingering in a few minutes and have been experimenting with the various sounds. The built-in speaker is nice to have but plugging it into a good external speaker is a tremendous improvement. This instrument has everything I could ask for in a DWI: 27 different voices, 2/3 of which I will continue to use. I especially love the church organ and the tuba! An easy way to plug into an external speaker. An easy way to go up or down one, two, or three octaves at a time. A one whole tone pitch bend button. Three different breath sensitivity levels. Adjustable vibrato. A choice of saxophone or flute fingering (I was told sax fingering is easier for a beginner so I’m sticking to that). It also has MIDI which I have never used, but I’m sure will be useful to those so inclined. instead of spending many thousands of dollars on the actual instruments, you can actually make good quality music with this instrument for just over $100.

This was definitely an interesting pickup, but I've enjoyed messing around on the instrument trying to learn how to play it. However, it would've been nice if it came with a link for tutorials or instruction booklet about how to get started, with regards to the basics of sax. Also, it sounds a lot more like a flute on both modes than a sax, but that's okay. The bluetooth compatibility is seamless and the speaker quality is quite good. The ability to plug in headphones is also awesome. Worth the buy if you want a portable electronic instrument that takes some skill but can be learned after a bit of practice.

Is this fun to play? A little bit. I felt this was a bit flimsy in general. Its quality could be better. The electronics loved to glitch out on me. Its sounds were okay, though not the best. Then again, nothing can beat an actual instrument. If you want a good quality sound, get the actual instrument. It does serve its function well of just select an instrument, blow through it, and then enjoy the sound. That's about it. Overall, I didn't really like this. Looks-wise, it looks like a typical EWI (Electronic wind instrument), but this is a cheaper version of some of the pricier ones. The title of this product says "Electric Saxophone for Beginners". However, that is misleading. This is not a "beginner saxophone". Its fingerings are not even saxophone fingerings, well maybe the thumb and non-pinky keys match, but this does not have the same pinky fingerings. If you want a beginner saxophone, rent one from the music shop. This product does NOT do a good job replacing a saxophone. I do not recommend this. This is a waste of money.

This came with absolutely no information on how to play it. An instruction booklet would be helpful. The sound quality is great but there's no way to know how to play it or use the various features. Very disappointing.

Sounds great by itself with the on board voices, but also works great as a midi controller via USB (havent tried Bluetooth yet). Sensitivity of the pads is nice, I like that theyre touch activated instead of pressable keys. Worked pretty much OOTB with mac OS and FL Studio.
