I realize that this is a "beginner" machine which I am. I'm not a person who sews much except by hand for a button or so. The machine is CHEAPLY made, the bobbin cover would not stay on the machine, runs on 4 AA batteries with a Plug in adapter and cheap plastic foot pedal if you chose to use one other than the power button located on the machine. I purchased this assuming it could handle a simple hemming job on some blue jeans I had purchased, (a $60,00 + machine I thought would be able to handle that) the motor kept stopping after making 1-2 stiches in the material. The machine isn't worth $30.00 in my opinion,.. I sent it back for a refund and purchased a BROTHER #3817 in its place for the almost the same amount of $$ NOTE: Since posting this review I've received numerous emails from this supplier trying to bribe me to remove it for a return of a amazon gift card,.. people please BEWARE !!

What a disappointment. I thought I would be getting a perfect sewing machine for repairs...small and lightweight and easy to use. WRONG! Yes, it's lightweight, and SHOULD be easy to use. It's not like I'm a novice at sewing, but this thing frustrated me no end. First of all, why does it need batteries? I plugged it in to a power source, and thought I was sewing when I noticed that the thread was no longer there. I barely managed to re-thread the needle (not easy) and tried again. No power to the machine. I decided to put the 4 AA batteries in as instructed. Still no power. Nothing worked. Then I noticed that there was LOTS of thread coming from God knows where. I untangled the mess and tried again. No luck. The darned thing just quit working. I bought this machine back in July, and just opened it today. So, of course, my return date expired and I'll never get my money back. I AM EXTREMELY UNHAPPY AND DISAPPOINTED. Never buying anything from this supplier again.

I knew it was too good to be true. Brand new out of the box, the plug for the foot petal wouldn't plug into the socket and kept falling out. Nevermind the hand controls, but it's near impossible to properly use a sewing machine without a foot pedal. Then the foot pedal itself was cheap and too light. Overall, the sewing machine itself was designed for hobbits -- it's just way too small for the average pair of hands to work with and the built-in light is useless and doesn't provide enough light. The top threading seemed too tedious compared to other commercial brand machines. Returning for a refund. Highly recommend to spend more money and get yourself a top brand machine than this garbage!

This sewing machine is for people who are desperate for a machine or just want to be able to stitch things together. The manual for the machine is terrible. The needles provided bent 2 hours into using the machine and the thread kept getting caught, back-stitching is odd and the thread included with the machine is cheap as expected. You’ll have to be really patient with this machine as you get what you pay for. I would strongly recommend looking for a better quality sewing machine.

The media could not be loaded. My smaller beginner machine was not strong enough so tried this sewing machine and worked perfectly. Even as a guy, I learned sewing by my mom and in school which does come in handy! So these Velcro straps are necessary to secure my grave eBike battery that weighs around 5 lbs which may not seem like much but the ones I purchased recently ripped during a ride so decided to use heavy duty pieces but sew them for extra durability. I did the zig zag pattern for more surface coverage and literally could see each strap in about a minute or so. It's really for functionality more than the looks so hopefully this will hold for awhile 😁👍

As someone that doesn't sew at all I was able to easily get started using this sewing machine. It is also handy as a beginner machine due to the number of stitching modes it has available. Other comparably priced sewing machines lack these different sewing modes. I am using it to sew Duck Canvas, which is relatively thick compared to normal cloth. Considering I am a beginner, I may be mistreating this sewing machine in some way or another! Either way, it is still working and I have been sewing together some heavy fabric relatively easily. Things I'm Unsure About: I am unsure how the foot pedal should behave since I am new. The pedals connector is basically a 3.5mm jack and the pedal itself behaves as a physical switch. So if you are a newbie and want to go slow you kinda have to feather it like you're keeping a carburetor with no choke running. I was expecting it to be a speed controller or at bare minimum a potentiometer that would control the voltage to the motor. However this is just my observation and this may be normal. Problems, Probably Due to User Error: I am unsure how long you can back stitch (I haven't used sewing machines before) however after back stitching for probably 1-2 feet (probably excessive) I had some issues and ended up breaking the needle. Luckily they provide 5 or so needles so I swapped it out and kept going. The back stitch sometimes acts up, and occasionally forward stitching as well, I think I may have slightly misaligned the shaft of the needle carrier as occasionally it wants to touch the presser foot.

I bought this sewing machine to fix my son’s pants. (They fit him way too long!) 1 pair came out amazing. Machine was smooth, stitching was nice and tight. Even the back stitch was perfect. I was amazed at the quality for the price of this machine. The second pair was also okay. The 3rd pair, the machine began to get stuck, back stitch would cause the needle to bend! I went through every needle the machine came with. By the time i finished the 6th pair of school pants, my needles were all broken and the machine’s back stitch was nonfunctional! I guess it worked for what I bought it; i dont see myself using it for anything else
