This thing motors
Review Image by Katy F.
I was shocked at how quickly this thing moves on the bottom. I was dreading getting into my above ground pool to clean it after winter this year. I lost my cover and we had a ton of bad weather which left my pool in serious disarray. I ordered this on a hope and a prayer and seriously I am more than impressed. It took a couple of days and several full vacuum compartments later but I have a clear pool just in time for 90° weather. I was able to run it and charge it twice in one day then charge over night with a full battery the next day to run like a champion the next day. I don’t have large debris that gets into my pool so I am not sure if that affects the performance. I do have long needle pine and it would stop mid run time because of the “obstruction” in the vacuum. I did my best to scoop out the large leave and needles before I ran the vacuum. I am overall 100% thrilled with this vacuum and would recommend it to anyone in my type of pool situation. ... show more

Piece of crap.
Yeahhhh, this is a piece of junk. An expensive piece of actual junk. It arrived today so I unboxed and charged it. Stuck it in the pool and watched it move over very small pieces of debris and not suck it up. Watched it for 5 minutes and didn't see a single thing get sucked in. I came back an hour later hoping to see results but nope! Still debris at the bottom of the pool and this wasn't even moving anymore. I took it out of the pool and when you lift it out, all the overflowing water draining out also gets little pieces of debris it did pick up and they drain right back out of the unit and into your pool. I followed the directions in the bottom of the unit to make sure it wasn't clogged up. To my surprise, when I took the unit apart, there was virtually nothing in it! There were just a few tiny pieces of stuff in. So, I did what one would do - try again because it must have been a fluke, right? Nope. After that, it won't even move now. I turn it on, listen for the beeps, watch it sink, and it no longer moves at all. It's always such a joy returning stuff, thanks. ... show more

Great! 1.5 years of use and the vacuum still works as great as the day I bought it!
After moving into a new home with an older above ground pool & many trees around, I quickly realized I couldn't manually keep up with the vacuuming. After searching for automated vacuums, I decided it was best to try a less expensive one since I didn't even know how long the pool would last. This vacuum has been a lifesaver!! It regularly picks up large leaves, small debris, & lots of dead pine needles. The first year I wasn't completely sold on it (due to a very old liner with wrinkles). After replacing my liner in Spring 24', it has worked like a champ and well worth the lower cost compared to others. The battery outlast how much it needs to pick up and we keep ours stored outdoors through freezing winters and hot summers. ... show more

Lasted 1 season
Worked great last summer. Boxed it up in original packaging and stored for the winter. Unboxed to use this summer and charged overnight. Put it in the pool and it worked for 3 mins. Took it out, cleaned and recharged fully again. Put it back in and it worked for 3 mins then stopped in one area. Propulsion vents open but no movement. $199 was good for 1 summer. Now I need another. ... show more
