Bought this product with high hopes. Follow the application instructions and care afterwards to a T only covered about 30 ft.² after weeks still not one single sprout went to my local hardware supply store and picked up a bag of grass seed. Dumped that on my dead areas, and in two weeks I have grass don’t buy total waste of time and money ... show more

    • Trying something that birds won’t eat..
Applied hydro seed yesterday evening in a area where the sun continuously beams so it’s really try and sandy looking. I used a rake to remove leftover hay from laying seed and a manual tiller/ cultivator tool after watering the ground and allowing it to dry up some. For starters it does not cover the amount of ground it claims but I used it on high seed and for what did come out it’s seemed the seeds were coated and so was the ground so I could tell where it’s at. I watch for birds and as desired, the birds flew around it never directly on it or trying to eat the seed which for me is a huge plus! Because of the area I chose to put it in I have to water it every 4-5 hours or so. When I purchased the kit I also purchased a refill but I think I will go a less expensive route and get grass seed and the liquid coating instead of the $28 refills. I watched several videos and within a month or 2 ppl were happy with the results so I’ll have a follow up review in 4 weeks. Update: It didn’t work. I will say I used it in a high sun area and the dirt was like sand but I watered it 4 times a day and even bought timers for my water sprinklers, but on the end I ended up having Kentucky blue sod installed. The seed works well But I was sent 2 - 1 pound bags and I ordered 2 - 2 pound bags.. Please send 2 more 1 pound bags to complete the order..

Horrible product and quite expensive. All it does is make a mess and the grass did not come up. Save your money and do not buy.
