    • The saw that I reall could have used earlier this year.
This is my most powerful and largest chainsaw and is definitely an upgrade from my other Husky and Echo gas models. 90% of the time I don't need a 20" saw and will probably buy a shorter bar, 18" or even 16" to get more use out of it. However, I elected to order due to two trees that I needed to deal with over the last year. The first was an ash that the bugs had gotten to that was well over 20" at the base. Dropping it was simple, other than insuring it fell between two trees that could have hung it up. I probably would have used my 16" battery saw anyway to notch it as the larger saw would have just been a little less handy with the rock wall that was close to the base. However the backcut and, more importantly. cutting the tree into rounds, would have been much easier and cleaner. The second tree was even more of a challenge being even larger and dropped during a storm, onto my driveway and the woods. I had to get my neighbor buddy to come over with his 20" saw just to make it safer to cut the rounds and the main reason I decided to order this larger machine. My property has not only many trees but large boulders and rocks interspersed among them making cutting uop trees much more challenging. This machine fills in a space I'll really appreciate when needed. Out of the box, filling it with hightest, quality gas that I had been advised to use years ago and following standard starting procedures, this saw started like a gem. I really had no immediate need for its use and, quite frankly, most home owners with less demanding requirements, would be better served with a smaller chainsaw either gas or battery powered. At nearly 78 years old and shoulder issues, my go to saws are battery operated as often as possible but situations arise where they are just not practicle and this guy fits the bill perfectly. ... show more

In the box you receive the instruction and operation booklets. The tools you need when in the field cutting. One bottle of 2cycle oil to make one gallon of fuel at 50:1. They also give you a spare air filter. This has a safety brake lever on the front of the saw and a safety on the throttle so it cannot be pulled unless your hand is firmly on the saws hand grip. This has a recoil starter and you need to place your foot on the foot pad and hold the upper handle to start this due to the compression ratio. There is a one button choke / run / stop button. There is also a fuel primer bulb to get fuel up to the carburetor should you need it. This has an auto bar oiler and on the bottom of the saw there is an adjustment screw to rich / lean oil delivery to the bar. The fuel and bar oil caps are easy open with a flip up lever and a no cap loss strap attached to both caps. The spark plug is an NGK -CMR6H. The air filter is a positive seal that presses over the air intake tube. This uses 87 octane or higher gasoline with a maximum of 10% ethanol. This has a 20 inch bar that does not have a roller in the end of the bar. There is an app you download that has a place to register the saw. The saw has a QR code sticker on its body below the throttle trigger area. The app also has parts lists etc in it. ... show more

Great brand. Works like a charm. I was able to trim a few branches around my property. My next door neighbor needed to cut down a tree that died on his property. We were able to cut down the tree and cut the tree up so the county could pick up the logs. The chain is very sharp and made short work of the tree. It is easy to start and remained running with no issues. The bar oil container is easy to fill. The brand is well known for quality and this product is a good example of this. This is a rather large chainsaw. If you do not have large trees on your property I would recommend a smaller chainsaw. ... show more

Brief review: Well designed, very easy start, strong cutting, good value Full product review: I have several chainsaws from battery powered, electric corded, and smaller gas engine powered. This Husqvarna comes with some nice features my other gas powered do not have. I am very pleased at how quickly and easily the engine starts. Sometimes this will fire on the first pull. I am elderly and can start this. This has some engineering features besides the easy start. When cutting a large log and bearing down, the engine barely lugs down. This cuts amazingly well. If you look the description, the engine has a different style of engine configuration. I like how the gas and bar oil caps flip up to unscrew. This makes the cap a low profile and easier to unscrew. This has a specially engineered chain. This saw comes with oil to mix with gas, bar tools, and an extra air filter. The top to get to the filter easily unsnaps to gain access. The outside shell is very smooth so it cleans up easily. The on/off button is well located and works easily. This does not come with a bar cover so you will have to buy one. I will post some pictures showing the saw with what it comes with, flip caps for gas and bar oil, and the conveniently located on/off button. I have had other Husqvarna power equipment that has given me dependable service. With how well this starts and runs, I expect this to also give dependable service. I have several other chainsaws, ranging from a smaller gas model to corded and cordless electric models. Let me tell you, this bad boy is a whole other ball game. This saw was designed for professional use, so it is built like a tank. the crankcase is magnesium with a forged crankshaft. It comes with a 20 inch bar installed but you could use a shorter bar, down to 13 inches, if it better met your needs. The saw has an auto tune feature that automatically adjusts for different altitudes, temperatures, or other conditions. It also has an adjustable automatic chain oiler. This saw is a bit heavier than I am used to, coming in at about 12 pounds. But, it is well balanced, and the vibration control system works well to make it comfortable to use. Adjusting the chain tension is easy and the saw starts easily if you follow the included instructions. Other handy features are the flip up fuel cap and retained bar nuts and starter screws. The 50cc, 3.6 HP X-Torq engine provides plenty of power. The engine is kept running cool with a new, advanced, cooling system. My smaller saws may be handier for cutting small limbs, but for tackling a big pile of firewood or felling larger trees, this thing is a total beast. It is very important to pick the right tool for the job. The saw comes with a bottle of bar oil, an extra air filter, bar shield, combination tool, and complete instructions. A case or scabbard would be nice,but can be purchased separately. If you are looking for a heavy duty, professional grade 20 inch chainsaw, this is certainly one to check out.
