****UPDATE**** 8/19/24 On 8/9/24 I reached out for help through the Troubleshooting section of the order section. An Amazon support representative was able to assist me with getting in touch with the manufacturer since the seller was unable to be reached until the following business day. I ended up emailing them several videos of how the device wasn’t working and they said that it was in fact defected and sent me a new one which arrived the following day. I used it last night and can already tell that the first drill I received was defective from the beginning. This new drill never stopped when I increased the speed and I was able to use it as much as I needed while doing my dip nails and it never once overheated. ****ORIGINAL REVIEW**** 8/7/24 This drill worked well for the first three times I used it and as I tried to use it just now, only 1-2 drill bits worked and one wasn’t even the right one I needed. The device gets very hot and I unplug the drill from the power box, let it cool, then try again and it works for another minute, maybe two. I’m going to try and return it with hopes I get a full or even a partial refund.

I ordered the gold drill bits. I had a poly-gel nail that was lifting near the cuticle, so I needed to remove the cured gel nail. I dreaded doing it, because with my other drill bits, that can take forever! Well, I got out the gold drill bits. (I printed out pictures and captions below them that explain what the different shaped bits should be used for.) I had used a gel soak-off polish with poor coverage on that nail, so I had to remove six layers of cured gel polish plus the actual fake nail. I couldn't believe how quickly I got down to a final layer of cured poly-gel over my nail bed. At that point, I soaked a cotton pad with acetone, put it over that fingertip, and wrapped it in foil. In ten minutes, the poly-gel softened and I just pushed it off. Voila! I was down to my undamaged, natural nail. I felt like dancing! I have nine other nail extensions to remove to have a whole new set! And now I don't dread the job! This DIY lady is a very happy customer! I highly recommend these Makartt drill bits! A word to the wise: I've read reviews that speak of snagging the skin with these drill bits. I happened to watch a YouTube video of a technician using an e-file, and her bits had a flat, smooth end. She kept that end toward the skin--i.e., nail sidewalls and cuticles. She did not injure herself. So that is what I did with these bits. There is a thin, conical bit used for cleaning up the sides of the nail. Even though I got right down into the sidewall crevice to remove cured poly-gel, I never hurt myself. This set also has a thinner, conical bit used for cleaning away excess glue or globs of cured acrylic or poly-gel. That stuff is so hard to get off! This little bit is amazing at the job. I used what is sometimes called a "duplicate" polygel kit for the set of nails I'm wearing now. Essentially, you lay the polygel inside what looks like a clear, fake fingernail. Then you press it over your natural nail and cure it. It's very nifty for beginners, but when I used these duplicate nails to apply extended gel nails, I had polygel ooze out at the tip of my fingers, causing a build-up of gel under the nail extension. I've since moved on to the foil, stick-on forms, like those used by technicians to build acrylic nails, but I still have that "kit" set of botched nails to remove. These drill bits will make my job incredibly easy! And if I'd had them when I did that first set of nails, I could have cleaned away all that ooze! Don't hesitate. These bits really work great, and the price is right. I'll buy more if my first set wears out. I've included a pic of the nail I removed and rebuilt last night with a foil form.

I absolutely love this drill and I hope it never goes out of stock. This is my third time buying this drill and each drill lasts me a few years as a full time nail technician. In 8 years, I just now purchased my third one. I'm so happy with this drill, I can't find one that I like more. The grip is so comfortable for my hand. I'm training someone new and she loved my drill so much that I bought this new one earlier than needed so she can have my old one. It's quiet, color is cute, value for the money is awesome and the ease of use is fantastic. The weight is comparably less than my other technicians. I simply love this drill. ❤️

defective •i love this company when it comes to nail files, to the UV curing light. but when i bought this drill, it came completely defective. •it burns me and my client to the point where i can’t hold the hand piece anymore. it also smells like something is burning when it gets hot. •it’s very loud and screeches whenever i turn up the speed. •it also stops working and spinning out of no where. i completely charged the drill to see if that was the problem, and it wasn’t. •it affected my business and my time. it’s a waste and not fair. everyone is different but this is my experience with makartt’s nail drill..

I haven’t had this drill for years but so far I love it. It hasn’t lost power at all and I use it at least an hour or two every week. The battery life lasts a really long time too! It is on the pricey side but so far I’m happy with the purchase.

This drill is amazing! It’s my first one, but she does the job. I’ve just gotten use to using a drill. It comes with all the bits you’ll need (and some I ain’t even use yet). It has higher speeds so you need to watch what you do and how fast you have it.
