  • It'll Huff, and Puff, and Blow your house down: Updated reviews 12/15.2016 and 12/31/2020
Review Update; December 31st, 2020. Well, going on 5 years old and not a single problem, and I use this leaf blower ALOT (to the behest of my neighbors; but I do their yards and driveways too, that's how I get around the complaints). This Husqvarna has been excellent, very durable and still going strong. It hardly gets the air filter dirty, and I just pull it from time to time and blow it out with my air compressor. I use good synthetic 50:1 oils in the fuel mix and this thing is still working like the day I bought it. Very happy with this product. Husqvarna definitely builds them to last. Review Update: 12/15/2016: I have been using this leaf blower now for two years. I use it now upwards 3 to 6 times a week. All Seasons. I have to say, I absolutely love this leaf blower! The reliability of this machine is incredible, starts on the second or third pull, every time! The volume of air it moves is staggering. It'll take any job you throw at it. Some people note it's hard to get on. I find it pretty easy actually. (Start it first) Loosen the straps, pull one arm through, then the 2nd arm, lean forward and pull on the torque straps. I'm so used to it I don't even think about it anymore. The trick is leaning forward, getting it high up on your back and then torquing it down. I don't use the sternum strap, don't need it. It's been maintenance free since I first pulled the cord on this machine 2 years ago. I would never hesitate to buy another Husqvarna product. My previous blower was a Poulon and it was a piece of junk, it only lasted 1.5 years, then just stopped working. I'm pretty good with engines and mechanics, and that poulon, no matter what I did, would never start again. I'll never buy another Poulon product again. Husqvarna, to me, is the only way I'd go. Like I said, I haven't had to do anything to this blower other than just buy oil for gas mixing, which is no big deal. Buy a 2 gallon gas can, put in the premixed Husqvarna oil (2 per 2 gallon, or 1 small bottle to every 1 gallon) and fill it up to the marked line. Piece of cake. I also use the Husqvarna low smoke oil, works really well. I don't worry about a fuel stabilizer anymore in the gas as I go through it fast enough I don't need it. After 1.5 years I opened the air filter, really wasn't dirty at all. There's actually two filters, the first being a foam filter. Had a bit of micro dust in it, I just blew it out with my air compressor. Paper filter still looked new. I also use this after I wash my cars. I know it sounds crazy, but that's what the local car wash does, why not use your leaf blower? So I wash the car down good, fire up the Husqvarna, and blow the water out of all the cracks, wheels, etc. Works great. (Here's another hint, open up all your doors and trunk, and blow the dust and dirt out from under your seats, trunk, everything. And actually, if you do this, you really don't have to vacuum it, just blow out all the debris. Cars/trucks over time, emit all this dust and debris from carpet fibers and seat fibers breaking off, doing this on the car every time I wash it insures a dust free car over time! I have two rather large Liquid Amber trees in front of my home, and they are like two thousand babies that never grow up; 100 percent mess, all the time! I know, I know, I'm OCD, but it works, try it! (just make sure there's nothing in the open to blow out of the car, like papers and stuff). *** My original review in 2014: *** I have two, very large liquid amber trees in my front yard. They drop these prickly ping pong balls all over the place, and they get embedded in gutters, grass, everywhere. Then they drop seeds like cracked pepper, then they drop pollen pods, then in Fall they drop all their leaves. Really annoying and a lot of work! These tree's are probably one of the worst maintenance tree's you could have (I didn't plant them). I was using a Poulon (Sears branded) leaf blower, and it slowly just stopped working. BTW, it was a known defect in the sears/Poulon blowers (Impossible starting after a year or so) and I would not recommend them to anyone, as sears did NOT stand behind their product, as I found out many other's out there suffered the same fate, it went to the junk yard and Craftsman is a thing of the past to me. After exhaustive research, I chose Husqvarna and I haven't looked back. Holy Smokes, does this thing work AND deliver. It's on par with what Dyson promises in their vacuums: This DOES what they SAY it will do! It makes incredibly short work of anything in it's path. It was easy to assemble and it fired up on the 3rd pull! I've been using it regularly, probably 2 to 3 times a week, and it hasn't let me down, it starts easy, it's comfortable to wear and it's so efficient my neighbors love it cause I'm not only doing my yard but their driveways as well, and into the street. Earphones are definitely recommended as the motor is right in back of you. I also recommend eyes and a mask, not for 'safety' but it sure blows up a lot of dust and embedded fine dust, and it gets in your eyes, and if you have allergies, definitely get a mask or respirator! I also use the synthetic 2 stroke oil they recommend as it has a fuel preservative. I use two smallies for a 2 gallon gas can, pretty easy, and it's not very expensive. It always fires up by the 2nd or 3rd pull and it has a almost a 'geared' type pull to start (feels like a heavy fly wheel), you literally use minimal effort to start it and it fires right up. To Start: Turn on the choke, pump the bulb about 3 times (you can see the fuel being primed), make sure it's on start :-) (start is on the handle so sometimes you forget after you shut it off) and give it a couple pulls, within seconds after it kicks over, turn off the choke, it's that easy. I really love this product and will be buying more Husqvarna in the future! ... show more

  • Amazing leaf blower
Amazing leaf blower. Upgraded from a Ryobi battery powered unit and it's night and day. Owning 2 heavily wooded acres leaf cleanup is a hassle. Especially when they get wet. This unit blasts wet leaf piles and those that would be considered "packed down" requiring hard raking The gas is simple. One small container of oil to 1 gallon of gas. Same as my chainsaw ratio. Simple. Can't recommend this any higher. It is heavy. But heavy means more power. 5 stars and highly recommended ... show more

  • Still going strong after almost three years of use. Amazingly good.
I owned the 350BT prior to this and used it for about four years without issue, but then I started thinking I could use more power. I have a lot of hill area and a lot of woods around me and so I found myself blowing leaves uphill and the 350BT just wasn't quite enough for that. The 570BTS is a monster. This is probably one of the most powerful backpack blowers you would ever want to own. It blows very hard and it weighs around 25lbs. Between the weight and the amount of air it puts out it can be a bit of a workout to use it. It's also very loud at 110db. You might make neighbors unhappy using it. It puts out about 35% more CFM than the 350BT and at 236.2MPH vs 180 MPH for the 350BT. I regularly blow piles of leaves up hills with this blower without a problem. Last year my neighbor went down with an injury and I took care of his yard and my yard with this thing in a day. It's a couple of acres total surrounded by woods so I used up three tanks of gas, but it got done. I only use the premixed 92 octane no ethanol gas/oil they sell at Home Depot or Lowes. I have never had an issue either with the 350 or the 570 using it. It's worth the money just to not have to drain the fuel system out and deal with ethanol gumming up the lines. I can leave the blower full year round and it will start without an issue every time. If you have a lot of ground to cover and it's not flat this is probably your best bet. If it's flat just get a walk behind. ... show more

  • Powerful professional blower that starts on one pull
Powerful pro level blower that is well balanced and starts on one pull. Very happy with it. ***1 year later*** I thought I'd add that after one year of use and ownership, this continues to be an outstanding machine! It has tremendous power; starts easily; and while it is loud on a relative scale - I wear -30dB radio headphones with it and it's fine. I have used this for 4-5 hours of continuous use with no issues both hearing and performance. I would like it they offered a 22.5 or 45 degree nozzle tip to make moving air horizontally a bit more user friendly, but I will not change my five start review because of that. All in all, this is just a great commercial level product that delivers as expected and then some. ... show more

  • Massive leaf blower
Works like a beast. Very powerful and efficient! It makes short work of any leaves and debris. Be careful with the throttle around gravel and mulch as this blower will take it with any leaves. Cranks quickly and overall pretty decent fuel consumption. Definitely recommend if you’re in the market for a backpack. It’s pricy but, professional grade for sure. ... show more

  • Husqvarna 570 BT review - top of the line as far as I'm concerned.
I can just about clean my neighbors driveway from mine, the air output on this thing is tremendous. A little heavy, but with the way you strap it on to your back makes it tolerable. (But then I am 65, and not as nimble as I use to be) I have had the product now for approx. 6 months and very pleased with its performance. NOT for use in tight spaces, this thing is for driveways, yards, garages and other fairly open spaces. If you need to get all the leaves out of the yard, this is the product to do the job. You can blow leaves into a pile from 30 to 50 feet away, and the variable throttle allows you to get right up on the pile without blowing it all over the place. Little pricey, but I consider it the top of the line. Puts out so much forced air, that when I really open up the throttle, you can actually feel the torque of the engine funneling air out the nozzle. ... show more
