Description

The Husqvarna 555 24 Inch Chainsaw is a powerful and versatile gas chainsaw built for small and midsize tree felling, limbing and bucking. Equipped with an X-CUT chain, the 555 pro-grade chainsaw is ready to take on even the most demanding of jobs. Smart Start offers an effortless start-up with a side- mounted tensioning system for simple slack adjustments. This gas powered chainsaw is fitted with Air Injection, a centrifugal air cleaning system that removes 98% of dust and debris particles before it reaches the air filter, to improve engine life and reduce air filter cleanings. Additionally, AutoTune optimizes engine performance throughout various working conditions, compensating for things like different fuels, altitude, humidity, temperature and clogged air filters. For easy handling, this professional gas chainsaw is designed with a slim saw body and an anti-vibration system. The powerful, efficient 4.16-HP X-Torq engine reduces emissions (up to 60%) and increases fuel efficiency (up to 20%). It uses Husqvarna 2-stroke lubricant with a 50:1 oil tank volume (0.68 US pint or 0.32 l tank volume). This commercial Husqvarna chainsaw is backed by a 2-year warranty for professional use.

  • This is one impressive powerful Husqvarna chain saw! It'll get the job done that's for sure!
This is one impressive Husqvarna chain saw. I borrowed it to my father-in-law for the recent storms as his old saw wasn't running very well he said. He said this ran so well from first pull until he was done cutting fallen trees. There is no assembly, it's almost ready to go out of the box. Add chain oil, included, and a oil gas mixture, prime, set the choke & chain brake, then pull and on the 2nd pull it started so easy. The chain is super sharp and cuts though everything so quickly. The engine has plenty of power and he was able to cut through some rather thick trees that his old one would have taken multiple cuts. I had a video but for some reason it won't upload to Amazon. I plan to use it next to cut an evergreen tree down so I can put a 10' x 10' shed up and I'll be done in no time! ... show more

  • Defective in the box. No reasonable path for replacement or repair. First bad Amazon purchase.
Packaging was undamaged. I unboxed and noticed how surprisingly light this chainsaw is (definitely like that). Unfortunately, I can’t review anything else about it as it is defective right out of the box. This review describes attempt to obtain a replacement through Amazon, convince Husqvarna to honor their warranty, and the unpleasant surprises encountered. Brief background: I own and operate a horse farm with several pastures and miles of wooded riding trails. We currently have four gasoline chainsaws and two pole-saws, all Husqvarna equipment that gets used frequently. There are no surviving Husqvarna dealers in my area, but I was brand loyal and had been for decades. Local Tractor Supply and Lowes sell Husqvarna. I typically replace one or two chainsaws a year with new units and gift the older working equipment to my part-time employees as a nice “thank you” and encouragement to stay on. Maybe excessive, but I never have people ready to work with no operating saws. We made numerous attempts to start this new 555 chainsaw. Good visible spark at plug, full tank of fresh “True-Fuel 50:1”, primer bulb full of fuel… but little or nothing getting through carb. No evidence of any leakage – it’s just blocked. Fuel system is defective right out of the box, disappointing. Attempt to return through Amazon ended with “This item isn't eligible for return” for reason of “shipping restrictions”. This was big surprise to me with no path forward. Contacted Husqvarna to arrange replacement and eventually “chatted” online with rep. Never did reach a human, just some kind of “ChatGPT” AI rep. If you have not dealt with this before, well I found it creepy as hell - thing was way more interested in my emotional state than with providing practical solutions. Solution it did offer was I drive well over 100 miles between two trips to the nearest “Husqvarna certified” service center. First to have new chainsaw inspected to ensure defect is covered under warranty, second to retrieve the repaired saw. All this travel-time, aggravation, and personal expense simply to reach a state I should have been at five minutes after opening box. Thought about it for a while… “Nope”. Drove to local Kubota Tractor/Stihl dealer and bought a new Stihl MS 462 chainsaw and, since I was there, a new HT 135 pole saw. Higher end equipment than I intended… but cathartic as hell and the shop owner is happy I’ve discarded my brand loyalty to Husqvarna. I’ll continue to use my existing Husqvarna saws, but I’ll be replacing them with Stihl equipment in future. What am I going to do with my new defective $830 Husqvarna chainsaw? I don’t know. I regret the waste of money. I’ll probably take it apart in future and see if I can repair it. If you do not live near a “certified” Husqvarna service center, I recommend not taking the risk of buying through Amazon. ... show more

  • Beastly
This is my first gas powered chainsaw, so I am far from an expert. However, I am very happy with it, and found it easy to setup and use right out of the box. I used this to clear a fairly thick tree that had fallen across a trail in my woods. I spent hours watching tutorials first on how to properly use a chainsaw for this purpose. I would definitely not recommend using this unless you know what you're doing, as you could suffer severe injury or death if you don't use it properly. The size is ideal. Neither too heavy nor too light, and I find it pretty easy to hold and control. It is quick to start up, and i am happy with the cut quality. I don't see myself needing another chainsaw for a very, very long time. This functions exactly as advertised. Value is solid. A little bit more expensive than I would expect, but you're getting a quality item that will last for a long time and which can be serviced by the numerous authorized Husqvarna service centers nationwide. ... show more
