    • Like new, but cheaper.
Works well, just like a new one. Perfect in all respects. I was able to purchase a larger model chainsaw because of the price discount.

    • Would not start
I gave this saw a 3 star because it would not start. I pulled the spark plug out and checked for spark. The plug was fouled with water, possibly from condensation but definitely water. I cleaned and dried the spark plug and dried the cylinder out by pulling the starter rope and spraying some starter fluid in it for several pulls. I checked the spark on the plug and re installed it and was able to start the saw. I do not know how the water got into the engine, but it was there. It was not difficult fix, but I would have to question where this saw had been stored at. ... show more

This saw is perfect for any at home use. I would not buy it for a farm or for commercial use because it's a little underpowered for it but I took down 3 trees with 12-14 inch trunks on a Saturday and cut some old oak to length with absolutely no problems. Starts right up after primeร—6 pullx3 with choke and then 1 pull no choke. Very easy to pull as well I'm positive my grandfather could start this saw. 10/10 I absolutely love this saw. P.s. I worked on a farm starting at age 7 and then worked at a tree removal service for 5 years before joining the navy so I know my saws ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Okay I love my STIHL. I purchased this chainsaw bc it was cheap enough someone wants to barrow a saw I don't have to lend out my STIHL. Was very impressed by the power and cutability this saw had plus its good to have a backup saw. Can't be happier with it. Had an issue with the bar sprocket getting clogged I flipped it around and helped it get the sawdust out so if that becomes an issue try that before trying to get your money back lol ... show more

    • Always need work.
Every time I get a reconditioned saw it's either seized up or needs work. The first one I recently got I had to change the plug and adjust the carburetor. The second one I had to change the plug, adjust the carburetor and replace the bar and chain. The saw was supposed to be 18" but it came with a 16" bar and a chain that wouldn't fit the bar that came with it or an 18" chain so I replaced both. The biggest problem is I buy them for backup and store them for storms. This makes it impossible to return. The last 2 saws I put together immediately for the hurricane. I'm very skeptical as if anyone even checks these out before reselling. It's not that difficult. ... show more
