I previously owned the boundary wire 315x for 6 years. it was good but this model is amazing. You have to mount the EPOS where it has clear view of sky. For us that was on side of garage roof peak. Get the mount they sell for side of house mounting if you want to do this as it make the job easier. Mounting the EPOS was the only hard part, because I had to get on roof. Programming it is easy. Changing schedule is easy. The app is very good. It mows my yard pretty fast, about 1/2 the time the app estimates. I leaves very attractive mow rows in the yard. You can program where to cut and stay-out areas within those zones. I have it cross my driveway to get an area that is isolated via the pathing you can set up. I mostly got this because I know Husqvarna will be around a long time. I have a tree line at the back of my yard I was worried about but it has not caused any problems. Houses are kinda close on the sides but that also has not caused any problems for me.

If you live in a suburban area I would avoid the 410 iQ, or any of the EPOS models, at all costs. While it works great out back and out front it immediately looses GPS signal on the sides of the house. Basically it can never travel between the front and back. Not a problem, so I think, I'll go through the massively grueling effort of laying down boundary and guide wires and use the Support by Wire function. Guess what, it doesn't actually work in any logical way whatsoever nor is there any real documentation to explain how it is supposed to work. Even in the app when you click on more info under Support by Wire you get a 404 error. Good stuff. Instead of deferring to the boundary and guide wires when the signal is lost, it just sits there forever searching for a GPS signal until it errors out. The more maddening aspect is I can see in the app that it is sitting directly on top of the guide wire (the automower is reading the guide wire) and it shows its proper location on the map. Even with weak GPS it knows where it is but just refuses to move. The manual is completely wrong on how certain things are supposed to function, where menus are on the mower, etc. I can set it to by a non GPS function version and try the only boundary wire setup, but then why did I spend all this money for a model that does advanced GPS things like systematic mowing, etc. I've worked with technology for well over 20 years and this is by far the most undocumented and frustrating device I have ever encountered in my life... by a wide margin. So far it's just pure expensive outdoor paperweight. I can't see how this is a good value for your money in this sort of suburban setup. If you got a large yard with 100% no tree cover or buildings, this is the one for you.

I am in mid Michigan. I mounted the EPOS unit in my attic. I also created several different work areas and transport paths. Yes, the mower can lose signal when it operates under heavy tree cover or when very close to the house, but I don't think that's a deal breaker. I love the symmetrical cut patterns and I especially love not having to push a mower around myself. It's not extremely difficult to set up, but you should expect it to take several hours. I love it so far! Not ideal if you have lots of tree cover or zero lot lines.

Setup is a bear. Did the wireless version of the 410iq. Crucial takeaways from a poorly written manual in my opinion. 1. Make sure you pair the right power supply with the right component. The higher output brick goes with the Charging station. It won't work otherwise. 2. Transport path needs to intersect the last side of the zone at right a right angle. 3. Drop the last reference point at least 4' from the charging station. it won't dock otherwise. 4. It's designed to work with a coherent schedule. Do those things and it works like a charm. Very happy with it otherwise.

The media could not be loaded. This mower IS NOT made for any yard. Do not buy if your yard has or is near trees or has narrow areas. Pros - mower is super quiet and can run in the dark. On the occasions it did complete a job, it left nice lines. App is easy to use and provides users with a lot of options. Cons - Very time consuming to install. Moved pos 3 times, got signal quickly all 3 times yet when mower ran it would regularly stop to search for signal. I had to remap several times because even the slightest movement of the pos makes the map wildly inaccurate. It hates leaves. Machine would regularly slip on leaves and would either have to back out or if stuck, had to be manually moved. It lies. I know, scary, ai has learned to lie already but when it gets 3 errors in a mow, it tells you it’s mowed 100%, job done, and returns to its base. Called support on this, friendly guy but his suggestion was to remove the leaves and cut out any areas that had a less than 6foot wide strip which means its mowing even less of my yard. It’s blind. Don’t let the object detection fool you. The mower will ram everything and if it budges the mower will keep ramming it. It’s huge. Do not buy if you’re unable to carry 60 pounds by yourself.

Had my mower now since August last year! Nothing better than watching it mow while I sit on the deck or while others mow in the 90-degree heat and my mower is at it. Also, makes for a great conversation with neighbors. The set up took a little bit, but it is worth it. It mows 4 zones on a schedule and does stripes. It mows my front/ back and sides. Happy with the performance and handling. I can also adjust cutting height. I run it at 3.25 inches during spring and then go up to 3.5 inches. Life changing!
