After 3 1/2 years in-service, one of the front wheels on my 415X suffered some damage and fell off. I don't blame the mower at all - it was my fault. We have a large rock in the yard that's been slowly surfacing and becoming more exposed. I had convinced myself the GPS-based stay-out area was good enough and that I didn't need to take to the rock with a pickaxe or bother layering some boundary wire. I knew the GPS stay-outs could sometimes drift. Heck, the app tells you exactly that when you set them and I had seen it to be true before. My usual pattern was to set that temporarily until I could get around to laying some wire around whatever new feature we had. In those three-and-a-half years, the 415X has been absolutely amazing and has never let me down. So why did I choose to replace it? The boundary wires were fine once installed but were never fun to deal with and prone to getting accidentally clipped during gardening, or by technicians installing things for neighbors. It's more than a little irritating for your mower to stop and to find that someone's clipped your line somewhere, only to have to walk the entire perimeter to figure out where it happened if you don't have any other context clues (like a bag of soil near one of the flowerbeds). My father-in-law had been wanting a robot mower and I thought, "Great! I can replace the wheel and give it to him. That gives me an excuse to upgrade and leave behind the boundary wire problems!" My experience so far with the 410iQ has been everything I had with the 415X plus some. There is absolutely nothing lost and everything gained is spectacular. I found I didn't have a great place for the reference station and would need to plant a pole somewhere in the yard. I did find I was in a Husqvarna Cloud coverage area though, so didn't even need it to get started. From the descriptions, it sounds like the reference station provides more precise positioning data over the cloud option, so I'm definitely going to be planting that pole, but I went ahead and mapped the yard anyway so I could get started with it. While I'll be installing the reference station simply because it is stated as being more accurate, and because I haven't seen how the Cloud options performs in different weather conditions and it introduces a need for a constant internet connection, it seems to be fine for now. We have three very large trees in the yard and two smaller ones, along with various metal poles and features in the yard and it always has a decent signal. On the internet side of things, we are using a mesh system and have good coverage there. If you haven't had an AutoMower, my cart blanche recommendation is simply, "If you can, get one! Do it!" It's amazing to never have to mow your lawn again. These things just run and keep it nice and trim with nearly zero maintenance. The mapping process with the 410iQ is simple and even fun. You can use a gamepad to control it and it's just like driving a remote control car around your yard (the biggest one you've ever driven!). Once you're done you can map stay-out zones in the same way, making it easy to keep it away from flower beds and the like. I was very happy when I saw how paths were defined and how simple it was to tell it where you wanted it to navigate (you basically just drive the route and then tell it a corridor width, which means it can drift around that distance from the line to prevent you from getting a permanent line in the yard). While I don't see myself using it, I thought it was really cool that it has the ability to mow different patterns. The 415X only mowed irregularly; however, when my wife and I saw the result of that irregular mowing, we fell in love with it. It leaves you with a lush carpet of grass and no mow-lines. It made me think about what the mow lines were. They're areas where the grass is depressed by the wheel of the mower combined with a line of clippings. I'll be leaving mine set to "irregular" to keep that carpet look, but if you prefer stripes or checkerboards or even triangles, you'll love it! You can even tell it to mow the boundary after it's done mowing the pattern. I don't usually talk much about packaging, but opening this thing felt amazing without it feeling excessive or wasteful. There was just enough packaging material to ensure it's safety but they did things like printing information on one of the inserts and packaged it in a way that lets you just cut and slide it out. Having just seen pictures online I didn't bother comparing the size to the 415x, but, was I amazed when the cardboard came off. It's about the size of a standard push mower. Work is calling again... I just had to go ahead and leave a review of some sort, even though this product deserves better! If you're thinking of buying it and haven't had a robotic mower before, I went through several before I landed on Husqvarna and can at least say this: If you buy a cheaper one, you're going to regret it. I recommend getting one hands-down. If you take my experience with the 415x, even though it has more life left in it, say I had only gotten 3 1/2 years out of it and paid $1,800 for it. That's $514 a year for mowing and I'm sure is competitive. This thing is going to run for at least another couple years though, I guarantee it, if not longer, making it even better a value, even with a $50 wheel replacement or a $100 battery. I managed to scoop up the 410iQ for $1,500. At that price, gosh, and after seeing the super-premium build quality on this thing, and knowing what that felt like with the 415x, I can't imagine this not being the same or better a value.

If you live in a suburban area I would avoid the 410 iQ, or any of the EPOS models, at all costs. While it works great out back and out front it immediately looses GPS signal on the sides of the house. Basically it can never travel between the front and back. Not a problem, so I think, I'll go through the massively grueling effort of laying down boundary and guide wires and use the Support by Wire function. Guess what, it doesn't actually work in any logical way whatsoever nor is there any real documentation to explain how it is supposed to work. Even in the app when you click on more info under Support by Wire you get a 404 error. Good stuff. Instead of deferring to the boundary and guide wires when the signal is lost, it just sits there forever searching for a GPS signal until it errors out. The more maddening aspect is I can see in the app that it is sitting directly on top of the guide wire (the automower is reading the guide wire) and it shows its proper location on the map. Even with weak GPS it knows where it is but just refuses to move. The manual is completely wrong on how certain things are supposed to function, where menus are on the mower, etc. I can set it to by a non GPS function version and try the only boundary wire setup, but then why did I spend all this money for a model that does advanced GPS things like systematic mowing, etc. I've worked with technology for well over 20 years and this is by far the most undocumented and frustrating device I have ever encountered in my life... by a wide margin. So far it's just pure expensive outdoor paperweight. I can't see how this is a good value for your money in this sort of suburban setup. If you got a large yard with 100% no tree cover or buildings, this is the one for you.

After using the Husqvarna Automower 410iQ, I can honestly say it has been one of the best investments I've made for my home. What used to be a weekly chore is now completely automated, giving me back hours of free time every month. The intelligence built into this mower is impressive. It maps the yard efficiently, maintains consistent cutting patterns, and keeps the lawn looking professionally maintained without any effort from me. One feature I especially appreciate is its ability to recognize weather conditions and intelligently pause operations during rain, then resume once conditions improve. That means less mess, better cutting performance, and less wear on the mower and lawn. The 410iQ handles my property with ease and navigates around obstacles far better than I expected. The app makes scheduling simple, and I enjoy being able to check on the mower or make adjustments from anywhere. Instead of spending weekends behind a mower in the Georgia heat, I can focus on family, projects around the house, or simply relax while the lawn stays perfectly maintained. The cut quality is outstanding. Because it mows regularly, the grass always looks freshly cut instead of going through cycles of being too tall and then heavily trimmed. The lawn appears healthier, greener, and more uniform than when I used a traditional riding mower. Another benefit I did not fully appreciate before purchasing is how quiet it is. It can work while we're outside enjoying the yard without creating the noise and disruption of a gas-powered mower. Overall, the Husqvarna 410iQ delivers exactly what modern smart-home technology should deliver: it saves time, reduces work, operates intelligently, and consistently produces excellent results. It simply works. It takes time to set it up and the system needs updates out of the box, but that’s just how “smart” things are these days. I didn’t set up the guide wire and instead used the wireless system. Overall, things went smoothly and I’m happy with it. Mowing itself is quiet so I run it early in the morning. I saw Husqvarna robots in Europe and I was impressed. This is the smallest robot available in the USA and it’s still larger than those that I saw in the residences in EU handling bigger yards than mine. September 2026 update: I incrementally lowered my cutting height to 2" (it was 3.5" at the beginning) and it worked as expected..Dialing in the edges was a bit tedious but now my trimming is down to a few minutes. (Husqvarna could use some app updates to make it easier) When it comes to obstacles, a cloud solution would really help here. I have a large tree that I mapped out with a generous radius and the mower gets around it quite well. However, I have two 6x6 posts that I did not map out. The mower bumps them and adjusts the direction. One would think, that if a true AI monitored this robot, it would have figured out by now that the posts are not going anywhere... What do you think Husqvarna?

Setup is a bear. Did the wireless version of the 410iq. Crucial takeaways from a poorly written manual in my opinion. 1. Make sure you pair the right power supply with the right component. The higher output brick goes with the Charging station. It won't work otherwise. 2. Transport path needs to intersect the last side of the zone at right a right angle. 3. Drop the last reference point at least 4' from the charging station. it won't dock otherwise. 4. It's designed to work with a coherent schedule. Do those things and it works like a charm. Very happy with it otherwise.

I wanted this to work so bad, but it never would. I spent almost two weeks working with Husqvarna Automower support, they mailed me new parts I had to replace myself, and it still never worked. I tried to take it to the local Husqvarna service facility but they didn't want to work on it so I was forced to make a return. Amazon has been a nightmare to deal with trying to return this unit. It is a large bulky unboxed item so they arranged an unboxed pickup from a carrier. The carrier never showed up after two days of waiting so they agreed to a refund and told me to keep it, then cancelled the refund when they changed their minds. I am still fighting to return and get my money back on a $2,700 brick. Battery life is non existent, did not maneuver at all, performance was terrible, was very difficult to set up due to being defective. Overall save your money and try a different brand. It is a pile of crap sitting in the corner of my garage right now and it is going to be the reason I cancel my amazon account.

I’ve owned several riding mowers and lawn tools over the years, but the Husqvarna Automower 410 iQ completely changed the game for me. This thing is incredibly intelligent, quiet, and efficient. After the initial setup, it basically took over lawn care by itself. The wire-free mapping and smart navigation are impressive — it cuts evenly, avoids obstacles well, and keeps the lawn looking freshly manicured every single day instead of just once a week. I also love how ridiculously quiet it is. I can run it early in the morning or late at night without bothering anyone. What surprised me most is how much time it saves. No gas, no sweating in the heat, no hauling around a mower for hours. The app control is simple and reliable, and the mower handles slopes and tricky areas much better than I expected. If you’re on the fence about robotic mowers, this is the one that convinced me they’re absolutely worth it. Premium product, excellent build quality, and honestly one of my favorite purchases for my home.

This thing is life changing for me. I live on 2 acres and mostly all of it is grass with irrigation. In the North East summer months I am having to mow 2x weekly and spending about 2.5 hours each time. Although this is not the comprehensive solution to my problem it solves 95% of the issue. Out of the box it was easy to setup the dock, map my yard, and create the transport paths. I have my yard set in 4 zones and wake up each day to mowed grass with tight lines. Now at night I get home and can edge, fertilize, treat problem areas, or tend to other plants in the yard. Caring for my property is now enjoyable again and not consuming the best part of the year where I'd rather be golfing or at the beach with the family.
