  • Great quality at this price point. Your neighbor's will be jealous.
This saw is good, it is a Husky, It is clearly more in line with their homeowner line of less expensive saws instead of the commercial series. Mine started on two pulls with premixed saw gas and ran well without adjustment. It is more than adequate for most homeowner jobs. My initial issue was with the blade angle--there is none. I have a smaller, battery powered saw with an angled blade and it allows one to cut larger limbs without getting the blade pinched since one is cutting "top down". But I believe Husky thought this through, and I learned to first cut the limbs tome from the backside and then from the front/top. This prevents pinching and usually results in the limb falling away from the operator. Like any tool one has to invest in learning how to best use them. I am reviewing this as a homeowner grade tool at this pricepoint, compared to the imported brands available in box stores, and can not deduct a star because for this price and for occasional use this is a very nice and more than adequate tool. ... show more

  • No Support from Husqvarna
When I tried assembling the item one of the shafts was not connecting properly. This item is NOT eligible for refund or return. I was then instructed to contact seller. When I reached out to the seller I was told that since I ordered it through Amazon they could not help me. DO NOT ORDER THIS ITEM. You will not get any support from the seller. Thank goodness Amazon themselves were able to refund the item after the seller was no help at all. Thank you Amazon for your assistance. ... show more

  • It's a Husky
I already have a Husqvarna Rancher 460 24" gas chain saw and also a Husqvarna grass trimmer. So when this came available I had to grab it. This make sit easy to trim higher up branches than I could get with my pruners or my regular chainsaw. It will cut pretty decent size limbs with my feet on the ground where before I had to put a ladder up or climb the tree, neither of which is ideal or safe. This works good just like any other Husqvarna tool I've used and I expect it will get lots of use and it should last a good long time. ... show more

  • Great pole saw for residential use
Im a home owner with a dense wooded area behind my home. I have to prune branches frequently to prevent them falling into my yard. I own the Echo PAS gas interchangeable system (edger, trimmer, blower) and a DeWalt 20V MAX electric 8" Pole Saw. This 10" gas pole saw delivers a considerable amount of power over my 8" electric DeWalt, but I did notice some things about the DeWalt I liked more. The blade is on the DeWalt is angled which helps to apply downward pressure to high up branches. The blade on the Husqvarna is straight like a chainsaw. If the blade was angled then higher branches would be easier to cut. Other than the angle of the blade I think this saw does a really good job. I have a easier time with larger branches and a ladder helps me get a little extra reach. Don't forget to wear a hard hat when cutting heavy branches overhead! ... show more

  • Doesn't have a bumper spike
The media could not be loaded. This is a nice power pole saw but it has ONE, in my opinion, SIGNIFICANT SHORTCOMING. Unfortunately, it does NOT have a bumper spike like is found on most serious chainsaws. That means that you must constantly pull against the saw when cutting. If it had a bumper spike, you’d rest the spike against the tree limb which would result in less operator fatigue and probably be better for the saw. As it is, if you don’t pull against the saw’s tendency to pull into the tree limb, the bar/chain oil reservoir will constantly grind against the tree. I have seen bumper spikes available on Amazon which can be purchased separately, but I don’t have them and can’t comment on whether they’d work with this saw. Regardless, Husqvarna should have included a bumper spike with this product. Also, be aware that as advertised in the product description, this saw only has a 12-foot reach, which includes the height of the operator. I’ve seen extension poles that can be purchased separately here on Amazon but don’t own any of them so I can’t confirm their compatibility. Regardless, although I’m going to guess that they would work with this saw, having to purchase them separately increases the total cost of ownership if you need to cut branches that are more than ~12 feet above the ground (“~12” feet because it depends upon how tall you are). Other than the above, I like this saw. After a few minutes of assembly, it started right up and even at idle, the engine runs smoothly (check out the video I included). When I test it, it had plenty of power to cut logs of appropriate size for this saw. The chain oiler works as expected and I also like that the power unit is separate from the pole saw. So, while I haven’t purchased other accessories yet, the power unit can also be used with a string trimmer, hedge trimmer, and edger (all of which I found here on Amazon). I think there’s even a leaf blower attachment BUT I haven’t been able to confirm that. In summary, although I kind of like this product, sadly, I consider the lack of the bumper spike a significant short-coming, rendering this a 4-star product at best. Truthfully, if the system would allow, I’d only give it 3-½ stars. That said, would I still recommend this product ?? ... well that’s a maybe. Compared to pole saws made by Echo and Sthil, it is much less expensive and I think it’s okay for a home owner on a budget and limited use. But if you’re a pro or homeowner who can afford a more expensive saw, I’d encourage you to checkout saws by those other brands before making a final selection. ... show more

  • Beast of a Tool
This being the first multi tool attachment style tool this thing is a beast and built well. I agree with other reviewers that the length of it might not be ideal for people with tall trees, but was perfect for me. This thing cuts wood like butter and the motor is plenty powerful. The muli head tool attachment makes this a value as other parts can be bought to create flexibility in applications. ... show more
