We installed two of these for our front porch. The porch is covered, which meets the "damp" rating requirements for this fan. They each came with a 3-speed dial switch for the wall, but we were able to wire the fans from a single switch without any issues. The fans look great and move a lot of air. Our ceiling height is about 12' and we purchased separate 18" extension rods to get them a little closer to the sitting area. These fans are super quiet even at blitz speed on the high setting. We usually run them on #2. My only complaint is that the fan switch does not come with a cover plate. Smooth, rock solid running and whisper quiet fan. I like that it is a simple dial wall speed control and not one of their infamous buggy remote systems. Good looking fan with no light kit. They make both 48" and 54" models depending on your room size. MY only problem was that the dial control is not compatible with my existing (multi) "decorator style" wall plate, only a toggle style wall plate.
